4 RepliesHonestly, they're both earning it. There is no one way to "earn" it.., if it drops in Nightfall, you had to complete the Nightfall. If it drops in Crucible, you had to play a match.

No the legit way is to join someone's nightfall as they are about to finish. Get no kills, then have it drop randomly and tell everyone how you earned it. Then start crying and throw the toys out the pram once xur sells it. Start a thread with your other "ice breaker friends" (people that purchased it from Xur in the early stages of the game) complaining that the game is now ruined. Way to go!

1 ReplyIf you didn't get it from doing over 100 Roc strikes then you didn't earn it. Raids, nightfall, xur, engrams do not count. I was still happy to buy my Icebreaker from Xur today none the less.

I remember the first time I bought an item from Xur. I worked my ass off for those coins. I see nothing wrong with buying these items. I've done countless raids and nightfalls ever since this game came out and never got Ice Breaker. Now I have 3 thanks to Xur. I got the Gjallarhorn in a nightfall but would be happy to see Xur selling it.
