Voidwalker? Anyone?
Every time I see mention here about Warlocks, it seems like we only have one subclass because all that's discussed is Sunsinger. Does anyone run Void regularly? I have both, but Void makes me feel like I'm contributing more since I have a Super I can actually use and not hoard away as a pocket rez.

When I'm not worried about recovery I run VoidWalker. Nightfalls or Hard Raids I run Sunsinger. Somebody has to survive. lol

Void walker is a more offensive subclass it depends on the way I'm playing each part I've always been a defense first so sunslinger just makes sense

I use Voidwalker all the time. Raids, nightfalls etc too. its more fun than having an 'extra life', which is super useful in certain situations, but a bit dull for me in general play.

Void walker is basically all I run especially in crucible. Only time I run sun singer is on hard raid and even then it's just a precaution I still pop off my super to create orbs for the fireteam

My warlock is built solely for the purpose of crowd control Nothing does that better than a bad juju obsidian mind Voidwalker with bloom

2 RepliesPeople just underestimate the orb making ability of sunsinger. It's much more efficient in making orbs. Most players (from my experience) don't know how to use sunsinger subclass to its full potential. Voidwalker is very fun though with obsidian mind and bad juju.

I rather use sunsinger. Flame shield with radiant skin = tank plus who doesn't like spamming ur grenades. I only use self rez during hard mode or nightfall. Void is eh

You don't have to pocket Rez radiance. Example, vog, the confluxes, the hoard of enemies that come.. Radience and spam grenades, shoot as much as possible.. Orbs everywhere.

I prefer void walker over sunsinger as well.

Sunsinger only on nightfalls and most of the Crota raid except for the Crota fight.

I run both. I run sun singer in hard modes and void any other time. Both subclasses are maxed. Personally I like the void

Obsidian Mind/Bad Juju with Void is pretty beast. I roll void plenty, but I always roll Sunsinger for hard-mode raids because so many glitches, bugs, and other nonsense you can't predict can cause a death and on hard it's good to have a reset button so you can be more brazen. I'm always willing to fight the impression that Sunsingers rolling with self-rez are holding back their team because I take more risks, and therefore have more damage output, when I have my super ready. I also frequently kill myself in the starting hallway at Crota to generate orbs for my allies while also completely restoring my health. I think both subclasses are quite effective.

I would use it more, but a lot of what I play are heroic strikes, nightfall a, and raids, and I just don't want to wipe, y'know? Voidwalker is the BEST when I'm running ROC strikes though.

5 RepliesI feel like all of the classes have only one subclass that is truly good for end game. Defender, Bladedancer, and Sunsinger. I think it blows. Bungivision should have put some more thought into it. Striker is down right stupid and when you compare it to defender it looks like the worst subclass in the game. Voidwalker isn't completely useless but why aren't you using sunsinger? Everything voidwalker can do sunsinger can do better. Except blink. Gunslinger can get by but being able to go invisible is way more useful in end game content than [b]anything[/b] gunslinger has to offer (unless it's a nightfall with solar burn.) Customization in this game is 0. Everybody looks the same, uses the same guns, the same shaders, the same class items, the same armor (why is there only one set of end game armor? Seriously what did the developers think was going to happen with that?) and everybody uses the same subclasses and almost the same builds too. It's dumb and [b]boring[/b].

I do, only use sunsinger for certain crucible bounties or hard mode raids, other then then its nova bombs all day long

Voidwalker is the shiiit! I use both classes regularly...voidwalker mainly for crucible and radiance for nightfalls and hardmode.

i use both, and both are equally good. sunsinger is just tactical, and used for harder things as a backup plan. voidwalker is for everything else

1 ReplyOnly bad sunsingers horde their super for rez. I've always felt that I can kill much more during radiance than I can during one nova bomb. Heart of Praxic Fire > obsidian mind all day

I run voidwalker for the the Crota fight. It has melee for health, and my gear regains my health when I super so it works well.
