Right side is harder. You can stand up on the rock on the left side and cover both hallways that enemies come through while never getting shot. Every enemy that comes out the door is dead within 5 steps. Then you just sit there when legions come and snipe them. When legions stop, you jump down and grab ammo and jump back up before the next group of enemies starts spawning.

Disagree. You just can't start attacking the Vex that spawn near the middle after they reach the back ramp, as they will teleport on top of the right Conflux nearly immediately. Best way is to have one guy camp the cave and the other camp the ramp, and call out Minotaurs as they appear to focus both of your Fire on. It was easy when we did that, as it left 4 players for the left/middle, which they desperately need as the Minotaur spawn rate seems to be higher on the left side.

  • It wouldn't be your job to cover the staircase too. I'm just saying you CAN see it from there. You can literally see every enemy approach angle to the left conflux from on top of that rock, and you will never have to stop shooting and hide. The second person on the left can cover the stairs and pick up the one or two guys that might sneak past you so you can still concentrate fire on the mobs coming from the door and hallway. All I know is I've never even come close to dying up there, while someone else on the other side inevitably always dies. That's just my experience. Maybe I've just done it so many times now that I'm on auto pilot during that phase.

  • I think it just comes down to doing it with different teams; some teams adopt tactics that (even though they don't know it) can make one part of the encounter harder than it needs to be. Just saying it's my experience that the right side can be easily managed by 2 if you keep a forward offensive position, and don't withdraw back to defending the right Conflux. When we've done that, they teleport on top of it, making it crazy hard on the team.

  • I was scrolling through the comments to look for anyone that disagreed with left being the most difficult. You're the only one I've found so far. Nice job.

  • That's because 99% of people who go left just float around the conflux, getting shot from 3 different angles. If you jump up on the rock it's a joke. You can cover the back door, the hallway to the center where the Templar is, and the middle staircase. One person with VoC and a rocket launcher can cover the left conflux from there without a single sacrifice. It's cake. I'm talking about the tall rock just outside the spirit bloom cave, just to make it clear.

  • Right side is way easier. A total cakewalk and can be solo'd with ease. With 2, you stand one to the right of the first column to the right of the stairs, and another to the right of the second column to the right of the stairs. Guy on left shoots left of the rock to the Templar staircase as mobs walk up, they're dead before they finish their climb. Guy on the right shoots to the right of the rock, they're dead before they leave the cave... You literally never move. Solo, you just strafe left and right between those 2 positions... It doesn't get any easier.
