Who's excited for Iron Banner today?
So, are you excited for iron banner today, or are you all like 'meh'? If so, what plans do you have? Rank up all the way to lvl 5 and buy everything, or just casually play it through? Or, would you rather see the return of something like the queens wrath, or maybe a new event? Leave your thoughts below.

3 RepliesDAMN I AM EXCITED! Although, I'm not sure I will actually get good gear. I couldn't participate in the first iron banner (because I didn't have destiny back then) and I am level 25. Compare that to all those level 30/31 people out there. I do have a question. Will Iron banner ever occur again in the future or was this just a one-off? I really want to know! Because I want that GEAR!

Instead of Iron Banner event, I'd prefer some new game modes. Where the hell is capture the flag?!?!??!?

Edited by cusman: 1/13/2015 1:22:16 PMI don't see the point of grinding Ranks in Iron Banner that I know will reset for armor / weapons that I know have no upgrade path. I have sufficiently good armor / weapons already and the last time I grinded the Iron Banner, my stuff that I got and then grinded to max, didn't even last a week until obsolete. If I play any Iron Banner, it wont be to earn anything or to rank up, but just to try it out as an alternative to regular Crucible for a short while.

The available weapons look like butt butt and there's only one piece of gear equivalent to raid gear so I'm gonna hell no lol

Not really. I'm level 32 and there's isn't really many things I want anymore. And I don't really want to grind to get a rocket launcher when I have gjallarhorn and I don't really need to hand cannon either tbh. I'm kinda simmering down destiny for now. Playing gtav more instead. But when house of wolves comes out I'll be playing it all the time again. :-)

Bungie needs to get there shît together apparently a lvl 27 can 1 shot a 32 in the iron banner. I do better better in the crucible.

Just a change of bounties instead of the lame exact ones over and over! Ar headshots come on, that should not be even considered in an event that should reward skill.

No. First time around, I burnt out on playing crucible after playing IB the ENTIRE week just to hit rank 3. Second time around I was just meh because I already had raid gear and only needed a helmet to get to 30 so I got the arm for cosmetic purposes and didn't care to max to 5. Third time around I didn't even play it. Had no interest in any of the gear. Now, I'm 32, I won't have a head start like last time I played, my focus will be more so on raids, nightfalls, weekly, ROC and glimmer grinding. Next time I'll take interest will probably be after house of wolves. I rather see the queens wrath or something else.

Shader would be nice but -blam!- that can't stand pvp on consoles. Really annoying when I'm doing those exotic bounties...

I'm kind of meh. I've been taking a beating in the crucible for the last two days. Have gone down from a 2.24 to a 2.04. So I'm a little more concerned as to whether the competition is going to completely murder me or not. Especially since I'm a bit under equipped :I.

The gauntlets are 36 light right? Can't wait to replace the raid ones with it and get some IB weapons!
