How cheesing hurts the game.
This is what will happen. Hard raid drops. Everyone who is bad and can't beat this joke of a raid legit will cheese. A portion of these cheesers will get the crux of Crota and thus the means to get this raids mythoclast. Then after a month everyone will have it just like the vex. Then everyone will complain that the gun is op or whatever and it will most likely be nerfed. Do you think that if the vault of glass couldn't be cheesed the vex would have been in enough hands to require a nerf? Doubtful. Rewarding someone the best gear for the hardest task is the point of this games raids. Cheesing them is pathetic and ruins the integrity if the game. More and more my team comes across kids with offer to help us cheese the raid. They will all acquire the New raid primaries from Crota and likely a nerf train will roll into station. Just some food for thought.

I really don't understand why people think the vex being nerfed had anything to do with the number of people using it. It's pretty clear from every other design decision that bungie has made that they don't intend for ANY weapon to be so extremely overpowered that it breaks portions of the content. Every weapon and armor set is grounded by the idea that everything is potentially obtainable by everyone given enough commitment, time, and personal capability. I'm nearly convinced that this is why the majority of players who say they are displeased with the loot system complain. Those personal idiosyncrasies they cherish are easily obtained by a million other people. I say get over yourself and stop comparing yourself to others.

1 ReplyWhy do you care so much what others do? I care about the integrity of the game too. I've argued over and over how the Vex in pvp is killing the integrity of the game. It's an op weapon acquired in pve to then be used to cheese players in pvp. I don't see how some people can claim one thing hurts the game and then turn a blind eye to another. Oh, maybe it's because those people have a vested interest in a specific part of the game for their selfish needs. I agree... lots of stuff going on hurts the integrity of this game. However, people are selfish and don't care. Period.

15 RepliesYou whine if everyone has a specific weapon, and whine if only a few have it. It's obvious you can't make everyone happy, and bottom line, who cares what other players have? Someone with every exotic outside of my fireteam never made a difference in my gaming experience. I have yet to experience the effect any random cheeser has on my gameplay. It's a bloody video game. I am on the forums to gain insight and tips to maximize my game time, but unfortunately, I find it's filled with crybabies and self entitled complainers.

2 RepliesNo, since only a few allegedly would have it and since there is no matchmaking thus making another obstacle to over come to get it and you would see more complaints to nerf it. The problem is bungies willingness to nerf it. Bungie needs to decide what type of game this will be. I know in games that the whole game is centered around PVP then yes they should do balances. This game offers a PvP mode but it is not meant to be a PvP game. It is a multi-player game based on PvE if this was call of duty or any game that was based on PvP the yes nerfs are needed. You can't have the best of both worlds. Bosses are stacked in the AI favor and not player which is what makes them hard. If you are using a weapon made to make a boss fight easier than yes there will be a clear disavantage from player to player. Exclusive things boil blood. I bet there would be less complaining if everyone had it. The problem is just a certian few would not feel so special for having it and thier internet cred would hurt. I don't care who has it or doesn't. Chances are I won't because I am not using LFG. I would not want to cheese it but to each thier own. Play the game how you want to play and don't worry about everyone else. All these posts scream are I want to be special.
