1 ReplySeems Iike it's the trend nowadays to call any kind of strategic safe zone a cheese. Maybe it's just me, but if you play a video game like a real life firefight, and take cover in an area that gives you the best vantage point and minimal damage, you come out successful. But hey, if jumping into a horde of enemies with no cover makes you a better gamer, then by all means...and "cheese"? I'd rather call it an exploit. Cheese is what you find on the crotch of your mommy's granny panties.

1 ReplySo you're complaining that people finish strikes, that they've done 100's of times before, too fast and efficiently? You want to be the moron that drops down and deals with the mobs, go for it, enjoy being a corpse orb. Those with strategic thinking will stay up top and carry you through the fight with much superior DPS on the boss. What's good for the Nightfall is good for regular strikes, why take longer on a regular strike for a bunch of VG marks?

Snipe minotaurs from cliff, spawn nexus, rockets to axis minotaur to face, smack nexus repeatedly in face with Black Hammer. Rinse. Repeat. You don't want me speeding up your loot rate?
no-one cares
You play how you want to play.. Others do the same. Whining about it is kind of pathetic. They payed for the game just like you, they can do what they want.

4 RepliesHave you ever say up there shot at nexus and dealt with the dumbass that spawns up there. Heavy lifting yes I choose one add over the others. Btw it wasn't me my 32 just raids.

1 ReplyDefine cheesing the Nexus?
-
14 RepliesOk so lets pretend destiny was real life Youd go head on and try killing it while being shot at Or would you go to a safe zone and attack it while it cant attack you? So your calling all military snipers irl people who "cheese"
-
1 ReplyIt's about efficiency, and quickly getting out. Why does it bother you? Just curious.

1 ReplyEdited by AllWedge: 1/8/2015 11:28:43 PMI actually don't mind when people do this to the boss. I have fun bladedancing around killing the mobs and then boss is dead in no time. At least they don't quit at the start...

I've done those strikes "legit" God knows how many times can't even begin to tell you. I will cheese the hell out of that strike. Hey guys here's a tip..... Instead of staying up top and having to deal with the Minataur that spawns beind you jump down to the next highest pillar. Next jump left to the elevated pillar connected to the wall. And finally looking straight in front of you get a running start and Jump directly across. This will put you on a platform that you can hide behind a wall for cover and have direct sniper shots on the boss. Stay close to the wall and on won't take splash damage and youre safe from the ads. The only hard part is landing the jump. You need a hunter with triple jump, a warlock jump, or titan jump with higher boost. You're welcome.

3 RepliesEdited by Burdi: 1/9/2015 12:09:37 AMIt's not a cheese bud, it's really annoying when people rush right off that ledge now especially when most of us have black hammers. The nexus is one of if not the fastest strike now thankfully to that weapon. If you jump down, the strike in total will take at least 15 minutes versus the 8 minutes you could of beat it in. I rather have those extra minutes back in my life rather than waste them on something I've already done a gross amount.

Any number of reasons... 1) Bounty to complete a strike without dying 2) Bored with it after running it a hundred motherf*cking times since launch 3) Change of pace Finally, who cares?

Edited by Roetter00: 1/9/2015 12:04:55 AMIf by cheese in nexus u mean gettin up top of pillar with black hammer and taking nexus out in 20sec then i cheese nexus every time
-
It's not cheesing you still have a minatour to deal with every 10-20 secs
-
i only cheese nexus when void burn is on nightfall. because fck him and his 2 hit kills XD
-
I'm not defending cheesing strikes, but you realize damage is capped right? Meaning the damage that a lvl 28 takes and the damage a 32 takes in strikes is the same. (Minus the little bit of defense difference, which is negligible) So it really doesn't matter that a 32 cheesed the strike.

It's quicker and easier
