24 years old with a steady job making about 45k/year as a part timer.
About a year and a half left of my mechanical engineering degree. I have a steady relationship with my GF going almost a year strong though we have been BfF,
But I am tired of people judging me because I game. Just because I game does not make me a loser or someone not going places.
Stop judging me for
My gaming habits. Also I am not fat, I am quite active working out and playing ball.
So why all the prejudice against gamers?
Edit: People think I am BSing about my salary. sales and commission is the answer. I say I work part time because of how my company classified me. I work 36 hours a week! They classify FT as 40+. My last job 32+ was FT
Edit2: seems like there are a lot of veteran Gamers! Props to all who have a lot to juggle and make time game.
Edit3: I love seeing the different demographics! Wish I could respond to all of you.
Edit4: Despite what some people think, this is NOT a Destiny Dating thread
Edit5: Thanks for all the support and giving your opinion for this matter. Yall are pretty funny with your comments. Continue slaying the darkness

19 year old girl working part time as a pharmacy tech while attending school for radiology, but switching over to real estate soon. I also have a steady relationship with my boyfriend for over two years. Nice to meet everyone!

19 with a full time job and a girlfriend of 3 years, it's hard finding time to play but some how make it work. Having a raid group helps, I have 5 other pretty close friends that I have been playing Xbox with since middle school and we have all been huge bungie fans. A lot of people look at me and see a shut in who only lives for gaming but I am just misunderstood. My real friends are all I need.

I started young with Atari moved on to an Intellivision, Commodore 64, Apple Macintosh, Nintendo, Playstations, 2, 3, 4, Lots of different computers in between all that. 41 with wife and 3 kids. Been working in tech industry on the support side for 20 years. (I'm not fat either, result of high school sports, although I do need to start working out as it's starting to catch up) Been playing for 35 years pretty much everything except kiddie games, and limited on sports. Have a 19 year old that I play with on occasion, we did a good job getting him to balance life w gaming and our playtime don't coincide as much as I'd like. At one point I was a ranked fps player putting in 40+ hours a week, but had to limit it severely to keep a happy marriage. (A true testament that your only as good as the time you put in)
