12 year olds...
Ok so a lot of people think that we early teens/12s (I'm 13) are all screwed up. Let me clear things up.
First of all, just to get this out of the way (not that you believed it anyway), we don't have much drama of any kind. At my school, there is very little dating if any. Any dating that happens is very irrelevant and not a huge thing that matters. Sure, we all have our crushes, but there's not much going on.
Second, most of us don't cuss. Those few that do on Xbox Live are the ones whose parents aren't home. Trust me, if they cuss it's because their parents are gone and they think they can do whatever they want now.
Lastly, We hate being called squeakers. I know that I try not to talk around older people because for now I still have a kid voice. But, even if we don't show it, every time we are called a squeaker it (I can't really explain it well) just sorta hurts. I'm not sure why but it makes us feel puny and irrelevant to the older guys.
So I hope that this clears things up about us "Twelve year olds"

Edit: ok let me re-clear things up about cussing. Yes, occasionally we will cuss. But, (this excludes all the fine African American gentlemen in the eight grade) it is usually just to quote a vine or I funny post. We rarely legitimately cuss someone out.

It's cool dude, your age shouldn't matter, although you've got a bad rep because of some terrible people. Experiences: get 3 randoms for VoG atheon, they do absolutely nothing, one of them runs to punch atheon, gets killed, laughs...wipe...try again, the 3 of them died, the 3 of us are managing, get killed outside the portal...wipe...try again, 3 randoms get inside portal, don't know how to answer where they are, didn't know they had to kill oracles, one of them tries to blame us for not helping, we reply with "sorry, my back hurts a lot from all that carrying", boot them, get 3 great randoms, atheon dies on second portal. Doing CE: random girl joins, we explain we want to go blind, immediately explains what we need to do, (bridge part), starts shouting at teammates, says we -blam!-ed up and need to wipe (for some reason we do wipe), teammate is about to get murdered, steps out of totem and I step out from center platform to prevent the totems killing us, girl takes the sword and calls me out for stepping off the center, I got really pissed off, she suicides to " teach me a lesson", we pass the bridge part and she leaves without saying a word. Fighting Crota, we get a kid as a random, he knows the strategy, he's really cool about everything (used the sword and ultimately killed him), the annoying part was every single time his friends sent him a party invite he was like "BRB...left the party...invite plz" parties are not a phone, you can't just do that. But overall, as long as you're competent there shouldn't be a problem regarding your age.

Dude your soooooo lucky to be 12...go play outside !! Go build a tree house ! Be grossed out by girls a little while longer !! Im old and work all day...its boring, destiny is my fun ! You got the world by the balls young man, dont waste it in video games ! And im sorry i dont want to do raids with you guys...we have little in common !

5 RepliesEven if you were the best squeaker ever I wouldn't play with you. There's an intellectual and maturity level that no matter how hard you try, you will not be able to surpass. Plus I just don't like playing with kids.

I think I was ten when I first started playing Halo matchmaking, I didn't really like talking to people for the next 4 years. I'm not really bothered by "squeakers" but when people start mouthing off at each other I just don't wanna live on this planet anymore, I think I might move to Venus

1 ReplyI'm in support of you. Here's the situational counters that I have and/or have experienced. First, on the subject of being called a squeaker, I don't mind if you talk. What I mind is constantly talking about drivel that doesn't pertain to the mission at hand and screwing up team communication. I was going through the Vault last week with a group and two of them kept chattering away about MLG while we're trying to tell them what timeline Atheon teleported us to. Their response when we died was, "Why didn't you guys tell us!? Oh, I didn't hear." No s*** you didn't hear. Conversation is fine, but know when to shut up. Actually, for now, I think that's it.

Most kids/teens I do not mind. Yes I call them squeakers but I mainly call them that in jest just as some youngsters may call me old timer. For the minority of kids that do annoy I could list the reasons but alas there are adults that also act the same way, just with a deeper voice.

10 RepliesI'm still confused why 12/13 year olds are playing a game rated below their age recommendation. Then said 12 year old asks the older people to stop hurting their feelings. People won't complain about the 12/13 year olds if they were playing the games they should be. If you don't like being called names, either stop playing and wait until your old enough for the games rating or go play pokemon.

I loved when I used to play Matchmaking in Halo and I would hear 12 year old squeakers calling other 12 year olds squeakers.

I'm 12 and I actually don't blame adults for kicking me right off the bat, i myself even hate playing with MOST kids, not ALL because most won't shut up or don't act mature. So some adults hear my voice and let me stay, but other hear it and kick me because of other kids they have played with before, and I don't blame them.

7 RepliesFirstly what bothers me is that you youngsters are able to play a game that's for ages 16 and up... There is a reason for the age limit ;-) I know not all young teens are idiots, but most I've encountered cannot shut up. They keep talking nonsense like "Did you know that ...." And "I've got this and this exotic and my friend has gotten this and this." It is ok to brag a little about your accomplishments, but not the entire freaking time ;-) Anyways, I hope you still enjoy it and got some sweet loot ;-)
