trying to calculate husk of the pit drop rate
Write below how many blades of Crota you've killed since the patch Tuesday and whether or not you got it on the nth try
Wow honestly too many responses to even count. But I have seen as many 200 plus attempts/7 hours and as little as getting 2 from killing only 3 blades. Something is messed up with RNG if you ask me. Try switching characters is my advice. My one character seemed to be goin on the way too many attempts path so I switched and on my other character boom 2nd try (swear there's a hidden luck stat somewhere)

Took me about 7 blades to get it 8 tries For my buddy and 15 for another friend of one took half hour for all three of us just farmed fist of crota

Killed around 50 between my first 2 characters, then switched to my warlock and got it on the 3rd try

Killed 4 blades before I got it.

took me just over 100 re-do's of the fist of crota mission to get it….id say the drop rate was somewhere around 3%-8%

Got it within 5 kills litrally, all 3 of us got it withing 15 mins

5 RepliesIt's thought to be about .01% however I had two in ten minutes two nights ago I wasn't farming it just did the blades bounty on that fist of Crota mission

I've killed about 75 and had it drop twice thus far.

I've had 4 drop for me. I never farmed or anything, just did the Eris bounties. When it's all said and done with, I don't think it's going to be that big of a deal. Eventually everyone will have all the HotP's they want. The tough part will be getting the Crux to drop from Crota on HM.

i have done it 152 times and havent gotten it yet ho[e this helps ill keep trying and counting and let u know when i do get it

1st kill after hotfix, and like 8th or 9th kill it dropped again.

9-10 tries. Got it again after 3.

Had not been on since Monday. Logged in this morning and it dropped on the first kill.

I'll guess around 40, I was at it for 2 hours and 45 minutes, 2-5 minutes per run, averages out to about 40. Sure felt like a lot more than that though.

Maybe 15 max blade of crotas. I got really lucky today while waiting for urnok on he skywatch

Was working on the new quests for the urn in skywatch and just briefly grazed a blade that someone else was killing just to get the glimmer. Saw the drop loading icon and it popped up. Just learned about it 30 minutes ago on the wiki.

I got it from my first one , a friend got it in about 15 kills and another friend took 5 hours of kills farming on the first earth dlc mission that's been added in. So I'd say it's all random yet again
