I have not seen ONE good review of The Dark Below. Every review site has thoroughly trashed it, even the sites that were given download codes by Activision, so nobody can claim that Activision forgot to bribe them. Come on DeeJ, I want to see how Bungie responds to this.
I can predict it now:
*we are listening to feedback and doing vague stuff. Jib jub bappity flap! I can speak in riddles!
Come on DeeJ, I know you are just PR, so what you say can decide the outcome of your job. But I wouldn't take a job where I was forced to lie or enhance the truth. You said bungie listens to feedback and cares about its fans. Prove it.

An article that voices many (though not all) of my concerns regarding TDB. Thank you Stark for posting the link!

3 Replieshow to fix DeeJ and make updates better: 1. cut the wordplay. I don't have a degree in massive words that no one outside of a university uses, so keep it simple. 2. give detailed explanations as to how these updates work. 3. put Interviews with cast members in a different post, rather than the weekly update that is supposed to be about the game itself. 4. try getting player feedback BEFORE you make major decisions, that way, if players don't like it, there's time to avoid a mass outcry. 5. there's really no point in closing the comment section on Hotfix posts. you do realise we can read it, memorise the information then bitch about it on a Weekly Update post. it doesn't stop people complaining at all. "Drink from the Firehose" Bungie.
You said bungie listens to feedback and cares about its fans. Prove it.
He can't prove it, because its not true.

2 RepliesWhy does the web community manager have to address anything. He isn't the one making the game, he just oversees the web forum.
-
There is no real way to spin this crap, so they are just going to completely ignore it.

I personally think that the OP is Deej's alter ego, long face. Ice seen a lot of negative stuff come out of this guy and it is usually directed at DeeJ. He is trying to get us all hot and bothered. As they say, bad publicity is still good publicity. I love the game and the dlc.
-
Here's a good review: I love the dlc Stfu long face you biased -blam!-

I normally don't read many videogame reviews for determining whether or not i'm going to buy something, but I do read them for fun as I find many interesting and enjoy other people's perspective at times. After reading a few for TDB (Polygon/Euroagamer/etc) I couldn't help but notice one common theme. The whole industry is becoming entitled whiny cry-babies. Each their own though.

Depends on what you mean by "Addresses the scathing reviews" ;-) If you are referring to Deej advising the community that the organization is dedicating more funds to writers & coders so that content can be released faster, so that demand for Destiny stays high, then yes, I am interested. If their form of address takes the form of a politically correct "Be patient, we're trying our best" then no, I have no interest. Due to some nasty life experiences, I value action a lot more than words; seeing more PvE content start appearing every week as opposed to every few months, with a petition to re-review Destiny would probably result in much higher marks from the professional reviewers. To my knowledge, one of the main complaints across the reviews has been lack of content: practically everyone I have talked with is happy with the mechanics, they just want more to do since they love the Destiny universe...there are so many story opportunities that can be implemented that would be a joy to play through. Bottom line: I want to see a significant increase in the amount of content, as well as the speed at which it is flagged to be released. Destiny is highly profitable (in my opinion) and it is possible to hire additional talent; I've heard of key personnel leaving - haven't heard of any hiring binges (And if they are keeping this quiet, this is something they should be shouting from the rooftops to let people know more is coming, and fast). Hope everyone is enjoying their day/night. :-)

Reviews can kiss my ass!

5 RepliesSo it would seem you didn't trade your game in, afterall. Or you just repurchased it, which would be even worse...
-
The dlc was not worth 20 bucks just like I said months before it came out it's not horrible cause it does give you reasons to log onto destiny but it's not worth 20 bucks
-
7 RepliesIs anyone really surprised?? The DLC content has lasted less than a week... Raids been done, strikes are done, "story" has been done. No its back to the repetitive mind numbing grind to get shards and get to level 32. The raid is excellent but the fact they think its worth £20 is insulting. House of Wolves best have a WHOLE lot more to do!
-
5 RepliesThey also haven't bragged much about their player count in quite some time...
-
Just because Bungie says they are "listening" doesn't mean they are taking action. Bungie brought this upon themselves. They have lost a lot of trust from there fans and customers. Now us gamers just have to do our part and stop buying into the hype of this game.
-
I don't know man. I guess I have different standards than the people who get paid to review games. Because I'm loving this dlc. Love the maps. LOVE love the raid. Enjoy the new strikes. Enjoy the new gear to collect. I'm happy, would do it again. I guess my standards are too low.

1 Reply"we're listening to you, you're our fuel, we're your Porsche" no bitch you're a shitty Toyota Prius, bitch.

Edited by BeStee Boy: 12/15/2014 5:30:54 PMGreat post. Finally something relevant and factual, and not complaints. THANK YOU! Everyone (including myself) who is/was on the fence about purchasing the DLC, would greatly benefit from taking two minutes to read ANY review on the DLC. I have already, and I'm not prepared to spend the money on it. POWER BUMP!! (From now on I'm referring to it as, "The Dark Blows; Sword and Scrota.")

I haven't done the raid yet so I don't think I can comment completely on the DLC. I'm assuming it's just as much fun as the VoG. So far, though, the rest of the content is pretty unfulfilling.
