Not even a Cutscene in this "Expansion"? Are you kidding me Bungie?
I just paid $20 for 3 missions that I completed in 45 mins.
- No substantial new areas.
- No cutscenes.
- No in depth explanation of what the -blam!- is going on
- Eris literally READS WHAT THE -blam!-ING QUEST DESCRIPTION IS. THAT IS ALL OF THE EXPLANATION YOU GET.
The first mission she says go kill the fist of Crota. With NO in depth explanation as to why. Then you do that (Which takes 10 mins) then when you get back she essentially says "Yay you killed the fist of Crota"
THATS ALL YOU GET. Then the next two missions have even LESS explanation. The 3 "Story" missions took all of 45 mins to complete.
Then on top of that this is LITERALLY just a re-skinned Queens Wrath event.
- Female quest giver? Check.
- Do stuff for rep? Check.
- Buy stuff when you get enough rep? Check.
- Minimal explanation on why you are doing what she says? Check.
- NPC standing in random section of the tower that sells gear? Check.
- Ship is behind said NPC? Check.
This is far beyond anything that I have ever seen. This is not even an booster pack let alone an "expansion". To charge $20 for this is an absolute crime. You should be ashamed of this product Bungie.
You tell us that our feedback matters and that you are actively changing the game to accommodate said feedback.....where is that is exactly?
We say we want more story and you give us even LESS than before.
We say we want more in depth explanations and you give us next to nothing.
If they do not address this with the upcoming weekly update this will be my last Destiny Experience. I supported them up to this point in the hopes that the DLC would make a marked improvement and all its done is make me feel even worse about the product.
The only good thing to come out of this is that this time around the negative reaction is practically unanimous and hopefully that means they won't be able to ignore it\

lol most of what she says is stuff taken right out of the grimoire cards. i noticed the way they tried to teach people the fallen are known as "scavengers" is her quote in the earth strike when she says "omnigul is using the scavengers against us"

The gameplay is great, the imagery is great, but it tells its story with the delivery of a pin ball machine. Factions should just be called "Brand names", because that IS all they are.

You're right. They [i]should[/i] be embarrassed of themselves and this game/"expansion..... But they're not. That's why they are plowing ahead with their one eighth assed game. They aren't doing anything to address anything important. Sadly though, I have definitely read a bunch of posts from people who are perfectly happy with the game and everything bungie is doing with it. [b]morons[/b]

Its funny that either the head of Bungie or the lead developer said that the new expansion will carry more in-depth story that we the consumers wanted. This...this was just garbage what they gave us!

3 Repliesthe expansion is why im quitting the game. i was hoping the expansion would fix a lot of issues regarding story, lore, and character development but it didnt touch on any of that at all. same shit all over again. also, did our ghosts suddenly become silent? how come little light isnt speaking this expansion? oh right, because he was only around for the vanilla. our ghosts will probably never speak again in "story" missions lmao.

I'm sorry you were fooled. It seems very apparent that this game is destined to be nothing but mindless gameplay. Too bad there was infinite potential. If they put a quarter of the effort into the story as they put into halo's story..this game would be [b]the[/b] game. However it is the exact opposite. I'm done with this game.

The problem before wasn't that there were too many cutscenes, but rather that you couldnt skip them and skipping them matters when you play the same missions over and over because thats all this game is. If you honestly think that people who give theses valid complaints can never be pleased then i can offer a simple solution to this particular problem: Make all cutscenes skipable once the player has seen it once already(standard feature in basically all games)and next time include more story and at least one -blam!-ing measly cutscene in the "expansion pack".
