I can't be the only who finds that strange, can I??
*edit*
Consensus seems to be that we need to push the cell off the cliff into the blue lava instead of releasing him, because the Archon Priest had a shotgun enema before he was captured. Also, jumbo colonoscopy if his gun misfires.
*Edit 2*
Angus109 - " He was most probably cheesed into it by DoT grenades"
*Edit 3*
For all those saying it isn't his actual cell need to play the strike again. Dinklebot specifically says" it's a cell, from the prison of elders. The Archon Priest is still inside" as soon as you enter the area where the cell is.

2 RepliesWhy is there more gravity on the moon then there should be?
-
I always thought about that... Also why don't we push him into the lava?
-
3 RepliesI've said this since the first time I played the strike. Haha glad to hear I'm Not the only one who thought this

2 RepliesEdited by randomhero204: 12/9/2014 8:07:12 AM..I don't even have time to explain, why I can't explain why he has a gun in his cell ..wait what? How many? Kill the engines and DONT let them find you... ***cloaks and disappears leaving you super confused**

1 ReplyThe prison of elders is the prison of the queen , she made an example of the archon priest when she locked him up and subsequently took over the house of wolves after she killed their kell The house of winter stole the cell from the prison of elders to get the archon priest on their side and make their prime stronger , the queen didn't like that , she then placed a bounty on him and asked to make an example out of him You could push him off yes but the point of killing him while he's fully equipped to deal with the engagement (forces and a gun) So killing him while he has this in his possession made an example that the guardians and the queen aren't to be trifled with

Edited by Guardian2798: 12/9/2014 3:30:02 PMWhat I want to know is: if he can teleport around the place so easily, why was he just chilling in his big metal jelly bean waiting for a guardian to let him out? I looked at the cell and it unlocked. What the hell were the fallen doing while I was taking the scenic route to get there?
-
Anyone also wonder why his cell has a giant cannon on it?
-
They were caught by surprise by the boss they didn't have time to push it Plus the queen doesn't want u to push it if u could
-
They are AoE grenades, though?

1 ReplyIt's a bit like the first cabal story mission talks about them being 800lbs and highly militarised, yet the computers dinklebot hacks are at the hight of someone that is not 800lbs or highly militarised, also some of the doors are only just the height for the cabal...
-
I was wondering about that too!
-
1 ReplyMy question is: Why can't we push the damn cell over the cliff.
-
That shotgun is probably part of his DNA
-
This is destiny logic bro come on.
Destiny: "we don't give a fluff."
It's a conspiracy plan the Queen is using. She let's prisoners escape so we'd kill them for her. She literally has to do nothing but let it happen and tell us to kill it because we owe her a favor.
-
Another question I have is "why the hell is the security at the prison of elders so shitty?" Between us, we must have had to kill thousands of escaping prisoners... Maybe we can write a stern letter of disapproval to the relevant authorities...?

C'mon, when has Destiny's narrative made any sense?

9 RepliesEdited by Senor Crouch: 12/8/2014 3:42:20 AMI heard a theory once saying that the reason the Archon was imprisoned with a gun in his hand is that he was trapped inside by the Queen. If I remember the theory correctly, it said that that's the House of Wolves' Archon. That he was not about to succumb to the Queen's rule so he tried to escape in that escape pod thing from the Wolves' Ketch. The pod was a trap by the Queen and once inside, the Archon got sealed in. Once the Archon was securely sealed, she took him to the Prison of Elders, where she kept him sealed in that pod. Would be kind of cool if that theory was correct.

Stasis?

1 ReplyWhen Dinklebot asks if it's a good idea, I always say "no, let's just shoot rockets at it or take it back to the reef, maybe we can have some tea with the Queen while we're there".. By the time I've explained why it's not a good idea, he's already let the guy out and I'm being shot in the face...

2 RepliesFirst time I did the strike I thought he would be happy I let him out. I was mistaken.

Bad writing? Stitches? Forgetful captors?
-
1 ReplyHe obviously smuggled them in his anus.

That second edit! :p

Edited by xAtomicLocust: 12/9/2014 5:03:15 AMMaybe they froze him completely, gun in hand and all.
