"Earning"
So what's earning a weapon? Is it taking parts of your day out to run through a difficult raid over and over again to possibly not even get it? Or is it taking a little bitty hour out of your time once a week to buy it from a broken vendor? They're both earning but answer 1 is earned more-so. Just because it's a random number generator doesn't mean if you got something you didn't earn it. You're putting every bit of time you can into getting this item, to you, it's invaluable. To someone who put little time and effort and just bought it or got it first time will never value you it as much as you. For those people who say "You didn't earn it, it's RNG" are wrong. Earning is not about whether it's a slim chance to get it or not, it's about having put your time to get your "prized possession".

4 RepliesYou forgot option 3. I raid over and over, every week. I also do every heroic and every nightfall. Oh and I also do tiger strikes to get 100 coins every week. I have been playing since launch. According to you I have only earned 2 exotics because I have only ever had 2 drop. I have had people tell me that they have 9 fate bringers.........wtf. I would kill for one. Explain to me how I have earned items less then you because the way i see it, we have both done the same number of raids and nightfalls trying to get loot. Please explain to me how your RNG drop is more deserved then my purchase from xur? Go ahead. Explain. Better yet, take your stupid ass opinion and keep it to your self. You have no idea what you are talking about.

Everyone just needs to stop getting jealous and butt hurt over how everyone gets there weapons and just play the dam game...it's so stupid...I mean it's a game... Don't get me wrong I love it but dam just deal with it and keep trying or waiting...does it really make you guys feel tougher or cooler when you get it one way or another? Lazy... I'm sorry luck is luck. Nightfall and raid drops are luck. You still work for it and earn it...no different than weeklies. In fact several nightfalls drop coins for some people. Does that mean they earn it less than you who happened to get an exotic? Plus usually weapons are 23. Plan c is 17 so that's the equivalent of 2 level 28 weeklies vs. 1 lucky drop in a nightfall. Plus the challenges are THE SAME. There is an element of chance and hard work in whichever route you take. I've only bought 1 weapon via Xur ... The last word. Rest were drops in nightfall or bounties. If anything I felt like I had to work more to get coins over a couple of weeks. Either way I got an exotic I earned it.

20 RepliesEarning is putting in effort, an input. And then receiving a reward, an output. Which means that playing the raid and rolling an exotic is just as much earned as playing the weekly to earn coins to buy an exotic from Xur. End of story. This entitlement over "RNGesus blessed me so I earned mine, forgot all those welfare Xurners" is all garbage. Its a game, if you played the $60 and put in the time, guess what? You earned what you got.

I "earned" every weapon and exotic armor in the game when I bought it........................I just don't remember where I left them all so now I have to find them.
