On beyond frustration: Bungie, a lot of us played Halo, and some of us are even old enough to remember marathon, we came to your new project Destiny with high hopes based on your previous performance. I know that software development is a thankless job (unless you count pots of cash as thanks) and that you are working diligently to correct problems in your paid for public beta testing phase for this game, but please, stop pretending this game is even stable beta. QA on this project must have been handled by 18 year old interns as they seem to have had little idea on how creative gamers can be with problem solving, or put clearly, breaking your game. Despite it being 2014 your team has neglected utterly to handle audio. I mean at all here, as this is a team co-op game. Nobody can actually hear each other over the music that is mixed in the voice channel with the sound effects. Discrete audio channels are not new, please see Halo for reference. Tbh this is the single most frustrating feature of your public beta. While I can appreciate the good work Deej is putting forth to ameliorate the beta-testers, it would be helpful if you could ensure that in future your updates are communicated more clearly to your testers. Many of us have invested many hours in helping you beta-test, and millions paid to do so. It would be helpful if you could return the favour by providing clear communication about outages as you can imagine, a rabid, paying beta-tester wants to test everything they paid for. My recommendation, on beyond the frustration you have provided your current testers, is that you fire the line manager and hire someone with enough technical savvy and communication skills to be able to communicate clearly to the beta testers. The current person is either a. New, or b. illiterate. Oh and where are the exotic tune ups? Breaking promises to your testers is another no-no. We paid good money to test this game, and it looks promising, once you bug squash, performance tune, and balance all the things your avid beta-testing fans have found for you.
