Because we're all anonymous, unless the girl is an attention seeker or you get in a party with them. You wont know if its a girl or not, , you just assume they're all male. * sips tea *

In a game like destiny where there is no voice chat, it shouldn't be a problem. But half the time girl games feel the need to put "girl" or "gurl" in their gamertag for whatever reason so i dont feel sorry for the attention seeking ones..

2 RepliesYou must remember it is impossible to tell if you are male or female if you don't use a mic - if your gamertag/PSN is gender neutral so not your own name also unfortunately some of the gaming population who are outspoken and rudely state such things destroys confidence in anyone it is the worst thing about the anonymity of the internet because it makes people feel like they have free reign to say what they want without consequence - so all I can say to those who are bullied due to something as simple as being a female gamer for example - that not everyone is like that so even if that negative comment hurt you emotionally remember that it doesn't mean anything is wrong with you but it is them who needs help for outdated views or their immaturity - I will play with anyone on any game I just want to play with fellow gamers and have fun

Girl gamers aren't dying, they just get hounded by guys every time they use a mic. My GF has stopped using a headset because either a. People start demanding boob pictures all the time cause they're immature and think they only way to talk to a woman is to treat her like an item, or b. they think she's a little boy and start calling her a squeaker and telling her to tell her parents they're bad people. Bottom line is a good portion of random gamers are just flat out bad people these days.

How exactly do you "see them around"? You probably see hundreds of them every day and don't realize it. Not every female has a girly username or something like that.
