My sister just told me she is planning on using corporal punishment (spanking) for her kids when she has them (I have a daughter but she doesn't have any kids yet) I told her if she did then she would have to stop speaking to me because I would report her to child services. Needless to say I won't be allowing her to babysit my daughter ever again. (I believe in discipline but corporal punishment is not necessary if you are actually a good parent) Edit: You don't have to agree with me. I just think that if you commanded real respect in your household you wouldn't need the threat of violence hanging over your children Edit edit: I'm an adult and don't think it is necessary to become violent with a child that is a third of my size.
