52 RepliesPeople like you are the precise and exact reason that being gay can even draw aggro in the first place. Nobody needs to know that you're gay, I don't come to the forums for a VIDEO GAME and start proclaiming that I love tits. Your sexual orientation is private business, wholly irrelevant to us or you fully enjoying this game. Keep it to yourself, and maybe look for friends or other gamers based on criteria other than their freakin sexual orientation. You are not making some sort of symbolic stand by coming out like this on public forums. You are instead drawing attention to something that should be considered normal, not abnormal. The more that people like you shout to the world about your orientation, the more you foster the perception that you are doing it simply for attention. You take something normal, and make it abnormal. Why can't we all just be gamers? The details divide us, they don't unite us. This is the same exact thing as a 12 year old proclaiming on the forums that he is 12 and shouldn't get any hate because of it. For god sakes, if you dont tell people the reasons to potentially dislike you upfront, then you give them the chance to form their own opinions naturally. Everyone can enjoy Destiny together without ever knowing each others ages or orientations. The devil is in the details, and put bluntly, we don't need to know them.
