Any of you play an instrument?
So do any of you play an instrument? If you do, how long have you played it, or do you play anything else? If you don't play anything, say what you have always wanted to learn how to play.
[spoiler]I'm still learning the ropes on playing guitar, I've mostly got it all down but I'm still practicing with my friend, and other than that I used to play the trumpet in 5th grade. And no patrick, mayonnaise isn't an instrument.[/spoiler]

My 1980 Ovation Viper 1271 ([url=http://cdn3.volusion.com/metps.dpdzn/v/vspfiles/photos/MGE126-2.jpg?1375359752]google pic for reference[/url]) is freshly polished and still sounding great. Secondary to that, piano, banjo, harmonica and baritone horn as well for many years. All a lot of fun to play. Still want to learn sax!

Yes, the latest one is a friggin' gorgeous sounding banjo I picked up about a month ago. Originally $800, got it for $250, the old guy bought it in 1972 but he recently got shingles in his hand and had to sell off all his instruments. Pretty sad. I will keep his legacy going on this thing.

2 RepliesGuitar and drums I been learning guitar for 8 months now and if you want to learn guitar go out and buy Rocksmith2014 I can't begin to tell you just how great of a learning tool it is! You can call it a game if you like but I changed my toon after I was already playing a song on a real guitar in about a week and I'm working on playing songs from Godsmack, HaleStorm, Green Day, Disturbed, and many other aritists. Rocksmith encourages you to work on several songs at once so you learn to move all over the neck and up and down the frets on the fret board of your guitar.

Trombone, baritone, tuba, violin, piano, flute, bagpipe and guitar (ZZTop, CCR, Bob Seger...the older rock scene). Was in music for 13 years and majored in Music Education before becoming electronics technician in military. Incorporated understanding of music in electronics by repair of electronic musical equipment for studios and performers. Repaired equipment for Tommy Chong, Diana Ross, Keith Emerson, Sly Stone and in the 90s modified all 8 of Slayer's Marshall amplifiers to give them the sound that took them to the top. All of those here who play musical instruments have my respect.
