My wife cancelled my pre-order!
My wife has never really understood my video game hobby... hell, she always passive-aggressive brings up her distaste for it every now and then and it is -blam!-ing annoying. Well with Destiny coming out soon, I've been very hyped for the game these last few weeks. Been re-working my game room in my spare time to be prepared for the big day. Of course, my wife would give me crap, but I brushed it off as usual since hey, she is my wife and we can't share all the same interests. Well today, she finally got in my face and revealed she cancelled my pre-order, telling me that as an adult, I shouldn't be wasting my time with video games and that I have more important things to focus on. She also bitched about my improvements to the game room that I paid for with my OWN money I earned. I don't approve of hitting women but after this stupid BS with her today, I was close to smacking her!
Jesus, I need to chill out. I'm losing my cool right now. I've been excited for Destiny but it seems because my wife has to -blam!-ING CHANGE people when they don't meet her every -blam!-ing little expectation, I won't be able to enjoy 9/9. If I play my game then I have to deal with unleashing the beast the resides in my wife. I really feel like throwing her out the house at this point.

My wife does not play video games. She does however support my playing because it gives her time alone to read or watch the tv shows she likes. My wife made this suggestion to me to pass on to you... Cancle her credit cards. Cancle her hair appointments. Cancle things she looks forward to until she gets the message. I personally think you need to talk to her and explain your thoughts on the matter. VtxR - PS3

It is always easier to ask forgiveness than permission. Her control over you is merely her tool to keep you in line to her womanly ways. I been married for 25 years. If my wife even considered telling me not to play video games or to ride one of my three motorcycles or buy that BMW Z4 convertible I bought last year, she would be shit out of luck with me.....What she gonna hold over me the booty....good luck with that, there is always more out there....

I am just the average man trying to make a living with 2 daughters, and a wife who is about to give birth to our 3rd daughter in November. I spoke to my wife about PS4 bundle. She refused to accept the fact that I am to purchase it, which at JB HiFi's cheapest as of 2 days ago was $515.00. However as I spoke to her, telling her where I am coming from as a husband, a bread bringer, having to pay my mortgage and bills, I have managed to save up just enough for the bundle. I have an electricity bill of $395.00 that is due next week. So next weeks pay is when I have the funds to pay for it, plus my mortgage as well, which leaves me just enough money for petrol. My wife works partime, so with her little money, she supplies food for us. And we are going to get the bundle within 3 hours time. Probably at Big W, as they said they will beat the cheapest price around Guaranteed ! EB games had it advertised for $550. And Dick Smith, well, I dont shop there because Dick is a Dickhead. Communication is key to your relationship. If you try your hardest and always your wife controls your life, then she does not deserve you. Life is about choices. Give and take.
