Please bungie dont transfer anything over to full release!!
Idk why all you guys want everything to be transferred from. I for one hope bungie listens to none of you guys and doesnt transfer anything so I can experience the fun again and earn all my stuff

16 RepliesPeople with families (i.e. Kids) will want characters to transfer - I'm in this camp. People without kids, will want to start over. Why you ask? Because once you have kids a 24 hour day becomes more like a 20 hour day. Meaning time is PRECIOUS. What ever hours I put in Beta, will be "lost", if you will - and notice I didn't use the word "wasted" since those hours were fun ones. So my vote goes with transfer beta characters. Now, if I was in college or high school with no bills to pay and no reason to wake up when the sun comes up, then perhaps my vote would be different. Now prepare to have your mind blown... WHAT IF BUNGIE GAVE EACH OF US THE OPTION??? "You hear that?" "That's the sound of your mind being blown."

Then you can simply start a new character. You don't need to hate on those people who want it transferred.

I'm indifferent towards this. It'd be nice to keep the cool gear I've unlocked for my Titan, but I wouldn't be mad if none of it carries over. I had a blast collecting them and I'm sure it'll still be just as fun in the full game.

I would not care either way. If they want us keep our stuff and levels, then that is cool with me. If not, then I am OK with that. It's really up to Bungie on this matter.

I'd like to keep everything, not gonna lie, it'd be nice. But at the very least vanity items should be kept(capes n emblems n such), would really like for my rep n marks to stay cause those took a lot of time to get. But if they wipe it all....oh well, building from scratch.

i think it should be carried over or at least the items we obtained if u dont like it delete ur char and start a new one its not that you have less fun cuz others are a little ahead of you

Hey Bungie, make a DLC charge me 10 bucks and I will buy it so my characters can be transfered. Thanks, problem sovled. People Who don't want characters to be transfered won't spend the money and the people that do will.

39 RepliesPeople complaining about not wanting our progress to carry over. It's hysterical, this for one isn't a free beta. Technically speaking each and every one of us had to pay a pre order fee to get included in beta. I've had multiple games I've tested and not paid and nothing carried over. However I didn't pay for those games, I got selected. This game to be in the beta I had to PAY to get a code. If this were a true beta not as many people would have gotten in or even been able to play. So technically speaking I paid for a game so I could get a head start. If you want to call this a beta then all games that you pay to get a headstart 3-7 days in advance is a beta. The items should carry over because I've put 30+ hours into this game and getting Vanguard ranks and Crucible ranks take unimaginable amounts of time and tons of playing. Not to mention the most you gain from missions is 10-25 Points towards a rank. Rank 1 takes 1500xp. Do the math even with bounties your still looking at dropping hours into missions just to level up. I've found plenty of level 10 blues I can't use. They shouldn't even be in the game if I can't use them. It should all be stuff within our level and items we can use. Stop complaining and if you want to restart when the game comes out by all means restart. I paid this isn't isn't a true beta let our items and materials carry over.

When the game releases. Delete your characters and play the way you want. Don't wish ill for those that would like to keep their progress.

How would you like to purchase the game on launch day and already feel behind the eight ball? There is no way Bungie will allow that to happen to customers who paid the exact same amount for the game. They are not going to reward pre-purchase gamers with anything other than special rewards, pre-purchase items and access to the beta. Besides, Bungie has already stated that the leveling rate was increased for the Beta. That should be your first sign that this is all for BETA testing purposes. Anyone who thinks that their characters are going to roll over is delusional. This age of entitlement baffles me. Oh, and get off my lawn!

I really don't understand why you would want people to lose everything just because it's not something you yourself want, if you want to start again just do that, what little we have played of the game so far is going to make no real difference so why shouldn't it be carried over.

12 RepliesI don't see why not letting us keep our characters. After all, it only took a couple of hours to get to lvl 8. Not like we get a crazy head-start. As for the gear, at lvl 9 or 10, they're already dropping way more powerful guns. So, transferring shouldn't be an issue... However, I could see all the new players being upset for a day.
