no... this isn't about PS vs Xbone dick size contest ... this is FAR MORE IMPORTANT !
A market or trade system will destroy this game, youtuber/twitch.tv user will have all the best items from donation. Guilds that farm will control the market and will abuse any exploit they can find.

Don't do like EA with PvZ , Don't do like Diablo 3 Auction House that was Shutdown, many games with trade system are 100% abuse. Many games with a trade system are simply shit and guild gold farmer control the economy. It also increase the BOT potential on PC.
No trade either, website like d2jsp,ebay and many other trade website are the one that will take advantage, in D2jsp for example u can spend real money > earn forum gold > trade Forum Gold for an item. Same with eBay, real money > get the item.

1 ReplyEdited by Viper45: 6/22/2014 1:01:38 PMMy first post was at the bottom, and in favor or a player to player trading system. Take note however, that I do not want to see an auction house at all. Though after coming back and reading the replies to the OP, it's become apparent that most of you are concerned with the epic loot; or trading the best of the best to a newbie or someone looking to do little for something awesome... In my opinion, these problems are easily solved by implementing level restrictions and BoP/BoE (bind on pickup/equip) properties to the items in question. Don't want the EPIC rare loot that only drops from a boss to be traded to the highest bidder? Make it BoP with a 1 hour trade; applicable to ONLY members of that party & in that zone at that time. Faction gear or anything purchasable by Crucible points? Make it BoP and/or locked to that account only. Anything else meant to be prestige gear or earned can easily follow these or other simple restrictions and still not make you feel like your hard work was in vain. Now think of the benefits. That mid-twenties level scout rifle you just outgrew... You can now dismantle it for yourself. You could give it to your friend (who's new to RPG's and forgot to replace the starter rifle he's been using for 20 levels). Or you can sell it for some glimmer to help fund that new ship you want. Obviously, my examples are only a few, and honestly just some positive ones; but with the right restrictions put in place I feel player to player trading can be 100% beneficial to this community.

7 RepliesA trade system would allow for farmers and I oppose this very much
-
Edited by Ben3ta: 6/23/2014 10:57:20 AMWhy not just restrict anything above uncommon from being sold/traded...
-
My thoughts exactly. A trading system would only get abused and especially ruin PvP.
-
Agree 200%. No Diablo 3 Auction Houses, please.
-
3 Repliesi agree 100% auction House will kill the game
-
I think you are right. But i would like to see trading with my friends.
-
As my mother says if you want something earn it your self i'm not a bank lol 15 yrs ago....
-
2 RepliesAt first I wanted at least a trade system so I wouldn't waste a piece of nice gear that I didn't need. But now that I think about it, yeah people should earn their own gear by getting out there. Makes players more active and besides, the object of the game is to become legendary. What legend takes shortcuts?
"When the Legend becomes fact, print the Legend."
As someone who was literally a multi millionaire in World of Warcraft I have very mixed feelings about this request as farming for mats and playing the AH game was a big part of my WoW experience over the years. But all things said and done, I am finding I have to agree with the OPs' suggestion after all. I'm all for extra content and activities that are not necessarily the core game expeirence of PvE / PvP to extend the life of this game (sometimes I ENJOY crafting, fishing, cooking and other little side activities) but I can also see the appeal of keeping you focused 100% on development of your own character too. I positively hated the gold sellers that spam and plague World of Warcraft and given the choice between playing the economy game in world and removing gold sellers from these games once and for all, I'd have to go with the latter.

Agreed a trade system would ruin the game as far as weapons, armor, loot.and money because it would be farmed. Multiplayer would be dead because by the first week is up their would be masters who kill at every turn.
-
A trade system, if carefully set up, would be good I think - what if you get a weapon or engram or something you personally don't want or a weapon comes to the end of its useful life for you? Why should those things be condemned to gather dust or being destroyed? Why not be able to give them to a fellow guardian?
-
Auction house is kinda earning because you need to work you anal off just to get the money by but I see where your coming from
-
My opinion. Trade: I don't see a problem with p2p trades. This is not a f2p grinder like Warframe nor should it be. Auction House: I don't think it's needed, but I wouldn't care. Secondary Market: Not officially, but I could see this happening on the forums regardless. Guild Bank: I think this will happen. Guild options are being called for by many on the forums.

9 RepliesIf trade was ever implemented (which I know it will not) I wouldn't mind if item trades can only be made when trading an item of exact rarity and level, so a level 20 rare rifle for a level 20 rare pistol, the rare item has been earned just giving you a chance to give your drop to someone that wants it over "junking" it. No trades for unequal rarity or level. For the record I do appose an auction house.
-
2 RepliesI agree with the whole no trading because of people using it to get weapons they don't earn but i am hoping they add a type of trading that is made so you have to buy it for the price of the gun so you have to earn the glimmer to get the gun and yes i know that people could farm glimmer but it makes it so they have to earn it a bit.
-
No trading, No auctioning. If you want something get out there and earn it.
-
1 ReplyCrystal meth is bad for you
-
agreed man loot only
-
i agree, no TRADING with other players :)
-
I thank a trade system where only members of that fire team can trade loot they just got to one another and put like an hour long timer on it before you cant trade it will be fine. but in all I do thank your right it should be 100% earn your own loot makes it harder and makes it to where you cant just get everything you want in 10 runs of a boss.
-
2 RepliesI think they have actually said there will not be trading bro? If I remember rightly..
-
I traded in a guild market before... I didn't use my consumer protection and I regret that decision to this day...
