Skyrim vs Oblivion
Which was truly the better TES game? Personally, I liked Oblivion a lot more.

I liked oblivion more because I played it more. It was easier to understand, not that I had a hard time comprehending skyrim... It was just a lot more fun. Plus bugs. I really like the bugs of oblivion. i.e. Scroll duplication, etc. also, the Nirnroot had a purpose...

I don't have a preference and I thought they both were excellent games that I still play to this day. Though, they both beat the shit out of Morrowind I can't even look at the game without being reminded about the distasteful combat and boring npcs. The only good it had going for it was the RPG that both Skyrim and oblivion lacked. But it was a price to pay to have better combat and npcs so I can forgive.

Skyrim. I like Oblivion's story and environment more (stupid Skyrim tundra), but the fact that I can shout at Lydia and cause her physical harm is what gets me.

Skyrim. Oblivion has a better main quest and some good features, that they removed in Skyrim for some reason, but that's about it.

Oblivion for story and I liked Cyrodiil a lot more than Skyrim. Skyrim for gameplay and graphics.

In terms of combat and art style I guess Skyrim is better... I don't really know of the combat though, as I haven't played Oblivion. Although I've heard that Oblivion has better quests and characters.

"Better" Is pretty subjective o.o I tried Oblivion once, and it may have just been the situation or something, maybe just the intro, but it failed to capture my attention at all. Skyrim on the other hand has taken so many days of my life I care not to think of it :)

Edited by ZUON: 6/3/2014 6:56:20 AMThe only thing about Skyrim I hate is how horrible it is to be a vampire. It's literally nothing but debuffs and incredibly inconvenient to play as opposed to the Oblivion vampires.

2 RepliesOblivion for the win! It was sooo much better than Skyrim. I just loved how long the Fighter's Guild and Mage Guild quests were. In Skyrim I finish the Collage quests and the companions with 4 hours. Too short in my opinion.
