What Features do you want in Fallout 4?

I'm pretty content with most of what Bethesda (and Obsidian) have offered in Fo3 and New Vegas, but I'd like to see: - Better graphics/animations (duh) - Longer, more intricate story - Smarter AI - Dual-wielding with pistols - More songs - Based in Boston (I live near there, so it would be awesome)

        • - Better graphics (I'm serious. Do you know how sexy a Fallout/TES game would look with current gen graphics? A new engine, I say!) - Sprint. - Proper aiming mechanics. - Play-test the game at least once before you ship it please (my exaggerated way of asking for less bugs). - More lively and realistic NPCs. - Larger cities (and more populated, depending on the how long ago the bombings took place). - Better character customisation options (I'm hoping there isn't a specific protagonist, like the leaked scripts indicate). - Don't colour-tint the game... (Fallout 3 had a green tint and NV had a yellow tint). - Waaaay more songs on the radio. - An urban / city setting (I'm not a fan of the desert). Boston sounds good. - A much more dense world (as in, more locations to discover throughout the world rather than just pure emptiness). - Immersion immersion immersion - Headshots should one-hit kill people without head-protection. Creatures not included. - Better sneaking system I think the game will either be announced at the end of this year (if we're really lucky) or next year. I remember Skyrim was announced at the end of 2010. Just don't expect anything at E3.

          • I want to be able to break weapons apart and swap pieces. So I might have my old hunting rifle and find a newer hunting rifle butt on a broken weapon, I'd like to take that butt/stock and replace my duct taped part on my hunting rifle.

          • I'm a bit worried about transport being introduced(cars etc) because if this does happen, it may ruin the concept of everything being destroyed. I'd love to see the story being based around the vaults though, more like 'Fallout 3' then 'New Vegas'

                      • Like everyone's saying it needs to have proper aiming and moving mechanics, better gunplay. Hardcore mode still needs to be a thing, and they should add to it like making damage dealt and received in hardcore mode be more realistic. Headshots to an unprotected head being lethal etc. It gets a bit annoying with some enemies when they take a ridiculous amount of bullets to die so you just stand there shooting eachother.

                        Long list incoming:
Factions: More in-depth factions and faction interactions. Factions should interact with each other outside of player-driven events, and it shouldn't be as black-and-white as "join this faction, the other will hate you." Dynamic Quests: This goes hand-in-hand with my first point. A lot of the quests in Fallout aren't very dynamic, and simply have a "Complete/Failure" outcome. Bethesda needs to do more in the way of making quests with multiple outcomes and paths to follow. Emergent Gameplay/Narrative: Fallout's questline is almost entirely driven by a "talk to this person to initiate quest" system. There needs to be more to keep the narrative moving and not feel like you're just going through the motions. NPC Population: Both Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas felt incredibly empty. I understand that the very core of Fallout is the concept of the Wasteland but the games almost feel too barren; to the point where I'd be playing and think to myself "Why am I doing all this stuff to "save the Wastes" if there's no one in them?". I'd like to see the settlements like Megaton and Freeside be larger and more populated. So the settlements of the Wasteland would actually feel like some form of established civilization. Crafting System: The crafting system needs to be largely expanded upon. A large theme in Fallout is using leftovers from the Old World to create new things. The crafting system needs to be easy to use and user friendly, similar to Skyrim's Crafting/Alchemy systems. Gunplay: Fallout's gunplay, to put it bluntly, is pretty abysmal. VATS is a cool system, and it works when taking on a large number of enemies, but you almost have to use it for every encounter. When firing outside of VATS, weapons are extremely inaccurate and generally just ineffective. The core gunplay needs to be worked on greatly, and VATS needs to be tweaked to be a tool to use in tight situations, rather than something you bring up whenever you see an enemy. Other Stuff: Some form of a mount/vehicle Set in California Improved armor system Improved animations NO CO-OP.
Cutscenes, decent gameplay, a less annoying dialogue system, and up to 4 players for cooperative storymode. I love the story, but playing Fallout 3 or New Vegas felt like a chore a lot of the time.

Better ADS with the option of Fallout 3 zoom, more factions, a better plot, major expansions for the canon, more unique weapons, and more stuff that I'm too lay to think of.
