I got both consoles (XB1 and PS4). They're both similar in many ways (they both use a 64-bit 8 core CPU). The graphics aren't that far apart, but the PlayStation 4 graphics chip has a little more kick than the Xbox One's. Don't get me wrong, the Xbox has some amazing visuals (unlike the WiiU the graphics are up to par). PC on the other hand is amazing, but if you want the best games you gotta go with consoles. So which one do you think will be the best console of this new generation of gaming?

6 RepliesEdited by MadHaze: 1/27/2014 9:25:23 AMIf I had an Xbox1 ,I would still buy it for the PS4. The GPU is nearly 50% more powerful ( so I read ) and also uses faster Ram where as the CPU on both work out about the same. It all depends on how Bungie goes about it's Development for both Consoles. Will they make it a Priority to get the absolute Max Performance out of the PS4 if it can run Destiny a little better han Xbox1 ? Or will they nurf it so it runs at exactly the same Speed/Res as the Xbox1 ? Proof is in the Pudding. I can think of Two games (there might be more) that already run better on the PS4 . AC Black Flag. Runs at Native 1080p On PS4 , Upscaled on the Xbox1 Tomb Raider . 60 fps on PS4 , 30 FPS on Xbox1. With that and all the articles I've read I'm pretty sure the PS4 just has that little bit more "Raw" Power behind it. I Truly hope Bungie make the most of it. All that said , the Xbox1 is most Deffo on my wish list ( when I have the money). I think it's worth having Both Xbox1 and PS4. Over the course of a Consoles life there are many great Excusive games. I Actually play most on the PC ( that's where all my friends are , some I went to School with) But I am Enjoying the PS4 and Look forward to playing Destiny on it ....hopefully @ 60 Frames per second. Sorry if I sound "Snobbish" But I don't remember a good experience at 30 fps ( in a First Person game ). Maybe my Concerns are invalid and I just haven't played the right game.

1 ReplyI bought a PS4 on the assumption that most games seemed to be running better on the PS4, and they still seem to be. Plus Sony have always been the guys pushing Destiny more, which shouldn't make a difference but it has.

Xstation One obviously

1 ReplyXbox One-Will run at 30 fps, be 720p, and your Kinect will attain self awareness and murder you while you sleep. PS4-Will run at 60 fps, 1080p, and your japanese gaming overlords will shower you in anime women.
-
It won't be better for either console, it's still the same game.
-
3 RepliesI'd say you choose the console by the community - including your friends. XBox: mostly Americans, some Europeans. PS: Europeans and Asians mostly. No racism as such intended.

It will be awesome on
#Destiny
Edited by Remy: 1/28/2014 10:53:28 AMXbox one for life

7 RepliesI would say PS4, because the way i understand it is that Density will be developed on that system and then ported to the X1. And the older gen consoles will be the other way around because they have more expirience developing on X360. But i don't know for sure.

I'm pretty sure the PS4 is the "home console" or whatever you call it for destiny. What I mean by that is they are focusing on the project with the PS4 in mind. Not saying the Xbox version will suffer, it just everything I've seen and heard seems they are favoring the PS4 version much more heavily.
-
I'm just gonna say Xbox One. Just for the sole reason that is what I own. But I'm sure the game will be amazing on both consoles.

2 RepliesFor the best experience, I'd go with the xbox one, I'm sure the graphics will be on par with ps4 by the time of release. And xbox will have the better servers and making your overall experience better. Destiny is meant to be played with others.

1 ReplyGoing by the hardware is stupid. It won't make a noticeable difference by release. Go with the better community and service, which IMO is Xbox
-
4 RepliesHardware wise, the PS4 is the most powerful between the 3 next-gen consoles. If you go by that alone (which you shouldn't; there is way more to a console than just hardware), the PS4 is the best system. If you factor in other things, like online networks, friends, software, exclusive titles, etc. then it becomes a little hazy as to which console is the "best". In fact, I would argue there is no "best" console other than the one you are happy with. For me, Xbox One is the best choice. It has my favorite exclusive titles, all my friends are on Xbox Live and I am a fan of Kinect features. Thats just me though, and it could vary for you or anyone else. Basically what this is boiling down to, this is a personal choice. There is no right or wrong console to choose for Destiny, or any multi-platform game for that matter. Get the system your friends are on, get the system that has the exclusives or the controller you like better. Don't choose your console based on hardware alone, or based on what one game is getting on a certain console. Its up to you man. You decide.

2 RepliesI recommend
#Density
-
3 RepliesIf you have both, go ahead and get it for the PS4.
-
The PS4 so far has outperformed the X1 for all of the multiplats available, and it looks like that's going to be the case for the rest of the generation. If you have the option to get a multiplat for the PS4 or X1, go with the PS4.

5 RepliesPS4 gets the beta early and new content early. I'd go for that.
