It will. Elders scrolls was never meant to be a MMO.

Completely possible, but it makes no difference to me either way. Since Bethesda is not making it, then they are still on track with Fallout and Elder Scrolls. If it fails it fails, if it succeeds and takes away that exorbitant fee, then i'd gladly play.

4 RepliesWhy couldn't they just make Skyrim with lots of players? They MMO-ified it so much that it isn't appealing at all to me.
-
1 ReplyStill got Skyrim.
-
The problem for me is the 15$ requirement . If they make it so you can play offline by yourself (or you just need Xbox gold) then I'll be happy to get it
-
4 RepliesIt'll be far from failing. I played a hour or 2 of the beta. It was ok. Good game? Sure. Worth the $15 a month? IMO no, but bigger, more dedicated TES fans might say otherwise.
-
I loved the beta, I just want it to be cheaper.

Edited by MSNBC: 12/7/2013 7:57:22 PMBecause every other game that tried to compete with it did so well B-b-but it's Elder Scrolls!

8 RepliesCan I be an Imperial.

1 ReplyI'm glad you played the beta
-
1 ReplyIt will fail. Nothing can compete with World of Warcraft. Every time there is a "WoW Killer," the game is dead within 3 months. ESO will be the same.
-
1 ReplyThe fee alone drove me away. I already pay for Live in order to play MM. Why do I need to pay more for the same thing? I can tell it'll just be a rip off and a failure.

11 RepliesEdited by Regicide: 12/7/2013 4:12:08 PMI still wish they would have stuck with the single-player esque type of Elder scrolls game, and went with a more next-gen (now current-gen) Elder Scrolls VI: Skyrim 2 like game, and obviously the addition of 4-player co-op in such a game wouldn't be a really bad idea, especially if split-screen was put into consideration, open-world adventure games are always more fun to explore with at-least one other real player. Hence why Destiny, The Division, and possibly Fallout (4)?, have me exited for what's to come this generation in terms of world exploration.

9 RepliesKind of like all Pay-to-Play MMOs.
-
4 RepliesNo subscription mmo stands a chance with wow still in existence

8 RepliesI played the beta and it was very generic to me. Wouldn't spend a monthly fee to play it and a party of friends is NECESSARY to derive any fun. Animations were disgusting and gameplay was boring, I prefer something along the lines of guild wars 2.
-
3 RepliesPlayed the beta for 2 sessions now........ There is no failure here. Your right, Elderscrolls is a single player experience, but the amount of awesome i was apart of for 6 days was -blam!-ing beautiful
-
8 RepliesThe lore alone makes this a purchase for me. 15$ a month for some great lore? Fine by me.
-
5 RepliesIt sounds weird at first but I would love a traditional TES with a co-op feature. MMO justs feels wrong.
-
Good. I want another regular TES game like Skyrim anyway.
-
1 ReplyI'll give it a try
-
No shit, Sherlock.

13 RepliesAn opinion can only go so far.

I wish it weren't true but that game just does not look good
