Deej can you comment on my question called what was you're first war game and what year
-
This guy... I can learn something from him. "I don’t know if I ever really had something I wanted to be. I just wanted to be successful", that phrase is so relatable... though I don't know if that's a good thing. For as long as I can remember I wanted to economize the platinum filter in hydrogen cars and pitch the idea, but that was unrealistic(ish), so, graphics design, here I come!
-
this guy is beast
-
Started from the bottom now he's here. That guy is inspiring.
-
Wow, thats a pretty awesome story... Good job for pushing on and not giving up!

Edited by Numero Uno: 11/19/2013 2:04:09 AMMike Shannon. Nuff said, I haven't even read it but simple as that.
-
I see these go to school, get a job, be lazy success guidance, but I can't help but notice the most successful people are mavericks who aren’t afraid to ask why, especially when everyone thinks it’s obvious.

I can't wait to play Destiny beta.

Deej, with both Players and AI enemies on a large battlefield shooting and blowing up each other, will things such as lag pose a large issue?
-

15 RepliesDeej, what is everyone's favorite planet or place to explore? What do you guys do or like about that place? My favorite place is going to be Europa and I hope someone likes Europa as well!
-
Great story, and kudos for perseverance!!
-
Very cool. I love these stories. I hope to have one of my own one day! "Where there's a will, there's a way." Mike Shannon's journey shows that persistence and determination can destroy even the strongest of barriers. Education helps craft a mind, but is not absolutely necessary to unlock it. Our destination is shaped by the path we take and I'm sure he would change nothing about his life, despite the hardships he faced because his lack of a high school diploma. Mike, I tip my hat to thee. Keep up the great work, fellow Guardian!
-
I have mad respect for someone who followed that path and ends up at Bungie. Congrats!

Edited by Timerider: 11/19/2013 3:49:51 AM
I probably spend at least 25% of my day researching what I’m working on from all different angles. The key is not just getting something to work but knowing how and why it works.
Yup, sounds like engineering all right.
-
I don't think I will ever see a Bungie employee have a bad experience; you guys just treat them too well. Keep up the good work, guys :)
-
I am not surprised that someone from Bungie took the road less traveled, but what I want to know is how you go from drpout to IT guy in 2 weeks? i tried writing code before and let me tell you, if you like coding or are any good at it; you are one of the most valuable workers in the game industry.
-
Okay Deej. I know I haven't been the most polite person over the last few months, but I really hope you can answer this question. Is there anything at all planned to at least throw the Xbox Gamers a bone?
-
AHAHAHA that's funny man... I didn't actually read the article yet
