3 RepliesIncome tax is disgusting. I'm by no means a lefty liberal anarchist ban all tax sort of person, but the idea that the government takes a cut of your hard work is awful. The other one that makes me flip shit is Inheritance tax. There really should be an under limit. Like it only applies in excess of £500,000 being bequeathed to one person.

I love how people say to get rid of the income tax. But then expect the government to fix things and stuff. Without income taxes, the government would receive SIGNIFICANTLY less money.

35 RepliesThe IRS is a necessary evil. We give up a certain amount of freedom to live in a society. One of those happens to be the freedom to keep everything you earn. We give this up because there is a collective belief that our society should provide services to its citizens. These services include such things as emergency crews, law enforcement, schools, militaries, ... ect. To pay for these services we allow the IRS to tax our earnings. To answer the question, no the IRS needs to say exactly where it is, like it is, unless it is changed to make it more efficient at collections.
