What kind of a hunter will you be?
I personally would take a vantage point with my sniper rifle, rather than get up close and personal with the blade of a knife.
btw: the "something else" option applies to being both sniper and back-staber

I use a scout rifle (usually with a medium fire rate) from a mid distance vantage point, then go in for the knife kills once most of my enemies have dropped.

Sniping the tougher enemies from a distance, moving into medium range and pulling out my Handcannon, or just swiftly charging in to knife them all. I'll see if I can make an adaptable build that can handle those three situations well. I don't think I'll really be able to play how I want to until I unlock the Bladedancer subclass.

The team player hunter, one that fills multiple roles. That is the beauty of this game, you don't have to limit yourself to one roll, because every situation is different.

Combination of both... Snipe at first then move in for the kill or if i get cornered then i go to town on my enemies face with my knife

Mid to close range gunner hunter who focuses on precision kills so we hat close or a stealthy close range killer if I use blade dancer

Actually neither of those. Up close and personal with the hunters knife. Not back stabing or sniping.

17 Repliesa killer gunslinger with the helmet equipped that grants me an extra shot with golden gun. the scholar scout rifle for its radar during ADS "patience and time" for the odd occasion where i need to scope out someone on a vehicle or maybe if there is a use for a sniper in raids etc. so i guess im going to be what you would call a marksmen. just back of the pack taking out enemies with precision kills while the tanks are up the front drawing fire. (DPS maybe?)
