Lucifer isn't the balance to God. God is the Almighty Supreme Being, Lucifer is just an angel who thought he was bigger than he really was and got punished for it. Really, he's more like an 'evil' counterpart to Saint Michael, if you could call him that.

  • Lucifer is the balance to God in the sense that God represents good and that Lucifer represents evil. Not necessarily, in the sense of being a counterpart to God.

  • In that case, he'd be more of a counterpart to Jesus the Christ...and even then it's not really a fair comparison. As for Old Testament God, He was more a force of nature than a force of good...though since He's the Ultimate Authority, one could say His Word is good, no matter what He says, seeing as how He decides what is good and what is wrong.

  • I never understood the distinction people make between Jesus and God, if Jesus is considered to be one of God's three aspects (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). I look at Lucifer as the balance because he is the corrupting influence. New Testament God, JC, and the Holy Spirit all represent good and moral influence.

  • I though the Christ was God's Son in human form? Anyway, New Testament Lucifer was more of a minor irritation, if that, to God. Saying he's a balance to God is like saying a pebble is a balance to the sun.

  • I see your point. But I still hold by mine, for the fact that Lucifer is the bad guy, and tries to corrupt people and turn them away from the path of God. Like when he tried to corrupt Jesus in the desert. (stupid to even try, if you ask me).
