There is a lot I like about the game > I joined after seeing an ad during the superbowl one year. I remember thinking how big is this game that they bought commercial space during the superbowl - thats nuts! I would never have tried the game if it wasn't free to play > I am a success story from that model and appreciate that was possible... I even got to play through Red War before it was taken down ~~ joined around Season of the Undying. I never liked Halo as I was a PC gamer (controllers ewwww)... and never had even heard of Destiny 1... ...today.. many years in.. I log into the Tower One day... and different groups of Guardians are just dancing everywhere.. its hilarious... love that. I remember being stunned that our characters can go through those motions from the emotes. Thats part of the heart of the game... ...my ultimate loop is to chase down interesting weapons (for me) to test in PVP. I enjoy hunting older weapons on different worlds even... going to grab these weapons in PVE (on different planets ❤️) even makes that more fun.. as ultimately I just want to get back into PVP but it alone wouldn't be as fun without the other enjoyable loops... Absolutely the movement and gunplay just connected for me.. its nostalgic also the concept very abstractly that I take from The Red War of Guardians protecting after already dying... coupled with the music... but I also want to say in that aspect its like smelling coffee... nothing can smell so good... but the taste is never that smell, lol... but I still love coffee. So I know conceptually this can be greater... I am a huge fan of the events... even when they are not top notch.. and it might be my origins as free-to-play but those were important moments and I consider the weaponry that everyone can acquire to be the most interesting chases... those are my favorite rolls to bring into crucible and beat the elitist scum with :) Favorite Season: Haunted (was just a fun loop and exciting weapons to chase) Favorite Strike: Savathûn's Song because the epic story of guardian sacrifice (well voice acted) The weapons that let me survive and become decent (in my own mind) at PVP back in the day: Autumn Wind & Out of Bounds (thank you Shax for these weapons but Bungie has taken away their punch for now) Favorite Exotic Weapons: Somehow - Ex Diris 12,591 & Heir Apparent ❤️ Warlocks #1... Titans ok... Hunters the true evil of D2 so a combo of this stuff... edit > the easy casual matchmaking is great & the hope that Onslaught will be back to its former glory! edit2> the dif types of weapons and rolls.. as well as DIM to organize it all.. DIM is key

Crucible, generally. The new dungeon. Renegades legendary weapons. Malfeasance. LF Invasion Some armor set bonuses Gunplay and movement feel are always on point. Used to love gambit until you couldn’t rank reset anymore for multiple perks. Hopefully they update it like they said they would.

Daddy-14 for starters… But other than him, the one thing that alway drew me towards Destiny was the gameplay. During the Destiny 1 beta, I first started out as a Hunter but quickly disliked it… but the moment i casted my first Fist of Havoc, I instantly fell in love. It felt so damn cool to have an ability like that and obviously the gun play felt great too. Then when the game fully came out and i unlocked the Ward of Dawn, I was hooked even more. Adding in the incredible library of lore, this game truly is amazing. Does it have issues? ABSOLUTELY! Have I taken breaks from the game? Absolutely but that’s healthy…

The only reason I am here is to see if Bungie is changing anything that will lure any of my friend group back. Bungie seems to be determined to keep doing the opposite until Marathon drops, but considering I’m unhappy with the game direction maybe that’s for the best.

Lightsabers and new armor look

The gunplay. It’s the sole reason I play this game still. The story is awful, the characters are annoying, pvp sucks, raids don’t matter to me anymore, I don’t like playing with others anymore. I don’t know how no other game has cracked the gunplay formula the way destiny has but it’s the single boon this game still has. And I suspect they will find a way to ruin even that as well in time.

I keep coming back cause of the people I've met ☺️ met a lot of cool people.. met a lot of jerks but either way, the good over rules the bad.

almost nothing. i get nostalgia baited on tiktok and redownload hoping it makes me feel something again just to stop playing a week later and have the cycle repeat 4 months later

The fact I don’t care anymore so they can’t disappoint me anymore.

I very rarely play now but used to like the look and feel of the game. Skybox, (most) location design, audio are all very good.

It’s the only game I found since D1 released where I can always find something to do to kill time pretty much all yr long. I play many different games as well but I don’t care at all about trophies or that crap so once I’m done the story I’m pretty much done with the game.
