It’s the same three (?) missions in different locations, over and over again, and I’m sorry Bungie, but I just don’t care about any of the factions to the extent that I’m getting any sense if achievement by levelling one up.
I rarely use the renegade abilities because they’re so rarely needed, and the rewards are the same few weapons over and over again. I seem to be suffering with a bad case of FOMO because I continue playing, but after an hour or so I want to throw my controller at the screen.
I’m not saying the gameplay is terrible, just that it’s repetitious. How about an escort mission to extract Spider (as an example) where he’s given health and you have to protect him from being killed, or something a little different? Just to break the monotony.
I’m sure some people are loving it, and that’s great, but I just think Bungie could be a bit more imaginative than they are (again)

1 Replyhmmm, if you still want to play d2, you should try different builds, there's some really fun ones out there that make you enjoy gameplay, also give the renegade abilities a chance lol , yeah you dont NEED then but they are super fun to use : ). and if you feel like the rank grinding is rough, remember, as long as you complete the priority contract for the day, switching to a different syndicate after daily recent gives you a 50% rank exp boost to all contracts done for the new syndicate you've allied with, exploit it lol. another advice is to rank up your recon shank ability, using it shows all the chests on the map, go pick them up mid transition, you get a lot of ingots which help you level up faster, a lot of credits to rank up abilites, and focus weapons so you dont have to tire yourself out (there aint much difference between the t3/4 drops and t5s they all give you a flat 5% damage boost, yeah t5 got more perks but a t3 shiny is betterrrr than a t5 non shiny) so dont worry about the t5 perfect god roll chase. have fun!!
