Softlocked at Cantina in Renegades Campaign
After Cutscene Guardian is at the bar and cant do anything. Just stuck there in idle pseudo-cutscene animation. Tried Relogging 3 times already. 1 Hour into gameplay btw and already a game breaking bug preventing progression.
Edit: 4th time relogging with nothing differently done and it now comes up with a menu. Sick that we are going to be playing bug minesweeper it seems.

Edited by Loforti: 12/10/2025 2:39:10 AMSo I i was able to fix it.. At least on pc. Plug in a controller watch the stupid cut seen for the 1000 time and on a controller you are able to progress. I know its dumb but it worked. It could all so be dumb luck and finally just worked.

Had this happen too. Tried switching characters and that didn’t revolve the issue. Had to shut down the game reboot and on the third attempt it finally worked. Buggy asf.

Edited by ZigZag: 12/4/2025 9:22:52 PMIt took me a bit. It was just luck I think I got the prompt for next mission. When it did work I didn’t touch anything until the cutscene then I skipped and the prompt came up.

Luckily I didn't get soft locked first I've heard of it.... But as I was trying to read some of the dialog boxes it skipped things I press the button once and it would double tap and skip the dialog pissed not even to the second mission and I've lost track of what's going on

The only way out is to change character or quit the game, I did try to spam skip and while that did work a few times and stops you soft locking at the bar, it never progresses the quest so you end up in an endless loop. What did work for me is I put myself into a solo instance so everything works normally apart from matchmaking. Watched the cutscene again, and it progressed just fine after that, even interacted with the barman a few times. Whatever is causing this soft lock, it only does it when there are other guardians around, without them, it works fine. Great quality control Bungie as usual.

I tried not opening a menu and watching the whole cutscene and it worked after that

1 ReplyYep I’m soft locked at the mandatory solo mission and cause I can’t have a fireteam member pull and fix it I’m -blam!- on a character. Over tried restarting the mission multiple times tried reloading the whole game multiple times. This is what I expected from bungo but still disappointed cause you know why make sure all 6 of your missions and main new activity work on launch right? Like potion crafting in revenant…

I got past it on my second try by not opening menus during the cutscene and then pressing “back” on my controller(or esc on keyboard)
