Can't link at all.
I cannot link either of my accounts at all. It automatically linked my steam characters to this account when I logged in with steam but I can't link my playstation characters, going to show what I see for the automatic account for my playstation account and my steam accounts. I think I'm just overlooking a simple solution I'm not sure. I'm not waiting 90 days to play with my characters I've been off the game for almost 3 years would just like to check out whats new and play some crucible with my OG characters. I don't even own a console anymore.

Really looking for a how to fix the issue I'm having. with growing older I'm not gonna lie I have become less tech savvy, and bungie has made this whole thing extremely complicated. I've read the cross-save FAQ, and help page it did [b]NOT[/b] clarify anything, please help. Thank you for any and all help in advance I appreciate it.

1 ReplyHey there. So your PSN has a Steam account linked already, a Steam account with no characters, however when you log in using Steam, it shows an account with a single character. What I think may have happened is that you may have used your Steam registered email and password when linking Steam to PSN. Due to the way Steam supports multiple profiles on the same email account, linking using your registered Steam email address + password actually links a different profile to the one you may log into on the Steam client itself, using an account's unique username and password. However a fix is going to be a problem, as of the 25th, it is no longer possible to unlink accounts. Assuming I'm right, and that you can authenticate this unwanted Steam profile using email and password, there's no way to unlink it. That means it's never going to be possible to link the profile that has one single character, to your PSN account. Just to test, you could try logging in here on Bungie.net using Steam email and password, and see where it takes you.

2 RepliesEdited by viiTactiiCZz: 4/4/2025 10:16:54 AMWhat it looks like has happened is you've linked the Steam account via email/password on the Playstation* account and using the unique account name/password on the Bungie profile you posted as. Steam allow players to have multiple accounts under the same email, so while you are signing into "mugl" you're likely signing into a separate account from your steam playing account. If that's the case the unfortunately there's little that can be done about it due to the account linking changes not allowing for account unlinking. One of the mentors/BNGHelp will likely reply to this thread about it with further troubleshooting steps but that looks to be what was happened in this scenario.

too add on my steam account IS linked to this account and if i go to that steam account it does not show my playstation account linked in the account settings nor will it let me but it pivots on this playstation account that has my steam account linked to it (does not show my steam characters) and when I try to authenticate it on this one it gives me a popup that says " Authentication Error The account you attempted to verify is not linked to your currently logged in account. Please try again with your linked account for this platform." yet still shows my steam being linked to this account in the account settings.
