Imagine if art/entertainment shied away from difficult subjects. Not good, imo.

It's a song that glorifies suicide. There's a difference between never touching subjects and treating struggles with respect. Nothing keyed me into thinking this was an aspect of the story (and it still might not be) and using this song. I am glad you haven't had to dealt with this personally.

There are songs that glorify a lot of unsavory things that get used for reasons apart from what the lyrics explicitly/implicitly say; that doesn't stop it from happening. Perhaps you're reading more into its use here than necessary. And before you attempt to lecture me about having to deal with such things, know first that I've lost and nearly lost people close to me because of what you're talking about.
