I have never felt saltier...
Crucible is the worst it's ever been, it was never great in the first place but now it's just utter garbage.
There used to be an element of fun in the casual playlist but that's gone, it died along with fun in general. The last laugh out loud moment I had was when the crafting weapons glitch was around and that 'fun' had nothing to do with Bungie's design, they have systematically removed all fun from the game.
Back to crucible, special ammo system is flawed, it offers no protection from being stomped and it snowballs. Perhaps some sort of protection like when the other team have had 6 ammo drops in total the other team should get one round of special each at least it would help snowballing.
Match making is useless, forever eleven and evaluating guardians. Team balancing is also none existent, you three that have been flawless this week on one team, cannon fodder on the other.
I have decided to say f this and will only play the absolute minimum of crucible for specific weapons and I'm done for the week.
I have over 2000 hours of playing crucible and played a lot for fun and to get better, racked up 179K kills, a 1.41KDA in crucible and 1.57 in IB, managed to go flawless 7 times, half as team but most lately solo and obtained the Glorious seal solo, not bad for an older player, I'm 55 and don't have anywhere near the reaction time of my younger self.
It was fun while it lasted, it's such a shame it's in this state and has to end this way. F you Shaxx, sleeping on the job 🤣

3 RepliesDestiny used to be the only shooter where I could use abilities just as much as my weapons and actually make it work. That's the twist on the whole fps thing Destiny had going for it and it was super fun Now that's pretty much gone because a bunch of people in this community who have a deathly allergic reaction to any ability that hits them.

Will have to dip a toe back into Crucible to see how bad it is. People keep complaining so much. There was a time a little after they suspended Trials and had introduced pinnacles that the casual play list was almost completely unplayable unless you were 1.5+ KD(A), and that's being generous. Almost every game was as stomp fest for those who had pushed down from Trials and Comp to "have fun" and "Blow off steam". Problem was they never seemed to leave once they found out how much fun it was to absolutely rule over the pubs. It was actually a lot more fun (for me) to play Comp during that time, as all the try-hards were busy stomping the casuals. If I ever get on again (and I think I might; it's been a while), I'll have to take a look at what all the kerfuffle is about. This game's been in such a state for so long; it looked like they were finally addressing some of the PvP players' concerns. SNAFU?

1 ReplyYeah it sucks, but it's too addictive to quit...until something better comes along. Believe me I am open to suggestions. If we get another good Battlefield game anytime soon I will gladly switch.

Yes, I too played crucible to laugh out loud....lol Special ammo isn't supposed to offer you protection from being stomped so complaining it doesn't is like complaining your car doesn't come with a shower curtain. Have a wonderful time on whatever game you choose next.

3 RepliesI think they should’ve done like what they did in the old d1. You wasted your special 2 shots, that’s it. Nobody drops any special ammo either, nor do you gain any by killing.

this is largely an issue with the industry as a whole. sbmm makes it much harder for specific types of players to "have fun" when you have to play your best every match, it becomes a chore.

3 RepliesIs it just me or does sometimes this game make it look like you're looking out your front window? And its a video game outside. I haven't played control much since the rework, but is it not basically as casual as its always been? The game should have casual stuff but when you take stats from something like that and try to make them matter too much that's also not good. Also, I'm unsure how casual really has to mean that wins are being apportioned correctly. Either it should be everyone wins half their matches or people win based on how they can effect a match. Right now it seems to be both somehow. The balancing thing is rough because what that means is that someone in that lobby is probably having a pretty bad time connection-wise and its often more than one person. Balance the game by connecting some people to Antartica and then no one acknowledges that the balancing is why its doing that. The game should definitely have that, but there should be places where its basically non-existent at this point. The game needs new people but there's also people that have been playing for 10 years, so it should just be considered logical that many of those people would have grown quite substantially over time. And what some people (not yourself at all) end up asking for, either on purpose or by accident, is for those people to be truly and literally punished for doing that.

Use your years of wisdom and out smart and out position your opponents through superior tactics, good coms and callouts. D2 is more about being in the right place at the right time and making the smart play rather than twitch shooters like COD.

4 RepliesHint, use Auto Rifles, its an auto meta, but you don't need to use the meta of the auto rifles. Anything goes, but if you knew the previous auto meta you know what countered the auto meta.
