They don't deserve it after the can of worms Sony opened.

My first preorder for any game ever was Witch Queen, and that delivered so well that I preordered Lightfall, and yeah that was pretty bad. I was debating the pros and cons of TFS when the lay off news went through. Might still buy it at launch but I ain’t preordering that. Been a good run, who knows maybe TFS will cook, but I’m going in with incredibly low expectations, if anything I see the game to end and uninstall.

1 ReplySony! Lol this is all on Bungie as a company. Sony got hoodwinked. Bet they are regretting buying this after getting a peak at the books.

Sony didnt cause this, this was all bungie

4 RepliesJust got back into the game 2 months ago after a 2-year hiatus. My initial thoughts: Witch Queen is THE BEST Destiny 2 expansion IMO and best expansion in the Destiny universe since The Taken King. Lightfall is THE WORST Destiny 2 expansion IMO. It's only saving grace was the Strand subclass. I did pre-order The Final Shape because I felt the need to see the story through. I did cancel my pre-order after the events of the last 2 days. A couple of nuggets about the events of the last 2 days: My understanding is that the 45% decrease in profits was based upon an absurdly high estimation by Bungie. My guess is that they thought Lightfall would massively exceed The Witch Queen in terms of sales, so they set their profit margin extremely high. When sales for Lightfall fell flat, so did their profits. A lot of the developers who were let go plus ones that are still employed approached the powers that be at Bungie about ideas to improve the game experience post-Lightfall and Bungie just flat out shot down everything their team suggested as they were simply just more interested in creating quick cash grabs instead of actually improving the quality of their product. Bungie made their bed, now they will have to lie in it. The interesting part is going to be what will Sony's reaction be to these leaks especially the one about shooting down any and all attempts to actually improve the game that were recommended by their development team especially after Sony just made a $3.6 billion investment into Bungie.

3 RepliesDidn't pre order I'm gonna save my money there's plenty of good games out now
-
5 RepliesHow about you let players make their own decisions rather than trying to start a mob to worsen a problem
-
3 RepliesI can't cancel what I didn't preorder 😎
-
11 RepliesSony? This is on Bungie... Pretty sure people got laid off cuz people didn't pre-order... Hence the 45% yearly projection loss... So basically I see your post as you want ppl who did pre order to get a refund so even more ppl can get laid off..

1 ReplyCan't cancel

1 ReplyDoesnt seem like i can im on ps5 and doesn't give me option
-
Who the hell pre-ordered after Lightfall ? That's like getting sick from eating at a restaurant, then the day you get out of the hospital , you eat at that same resteraunt
-
Never preordered, Lightfall was trash, the last two seasons were meaningless and boring, why would you preorder for more of the same lol?
-
Preordering is mostly for fools.
-
2 RepliesYou were playing gambit 14 hours ago 🤣🤣🤣

What I dont get is why shareholders treat preorders as sales. There "projections" are always going to be wildly different than reality this is bad PR and will ultimately harm themselves.
-
No, with all the entitled players are gone the base will be better.
-
See you in June complaining about how bad the new expansion is. Lol.
-
Yeah Sony and bungie deserved to sweat over this they can't just keep giving us bad product expect us to spend a huge amounts of money burning holes in our pocket and no consequences you make a product that people want and they'll buy it and if you make a shitty product you deserve the backlash
-
Roger that. Done

39 RepliesWhat's crazy is nobody is pointing any blame towards the streamers/content creators. Who wanted the higher difficulty? Who asked for nerfs to specific exotics? But they don't get paid by Bungie directly so they aren't affected. A half hearted DLC gets released with an increase in difficulty with major nerfs to exotics, and somehow people are confused why people don't play or pay for the game anymore. Sure Bungie cut some costs at reducing the staff, but the player retention isn't 100% on them. Catering to people who profit from playing the game shouldn't be the main focus. Now look at what they've done. Even with all of this the content creators are still profiting from making YouTube videos about what's going on. The blind stares of a million pairs of eyes. Keep riding that hamster wheel guardians.
