Is control back to CBMM?
It seems that they took Control back to CBMM?
1) every match now dominated by 1-2 players who make every game lopsided one way or another (like it was during CBMM)
2) almost every game a lopsided mess (like it was during CBMM)
3) last 2 games 150 to 70 ish 105 to 32 (mercy) (like it was during CBMM)
Just interested in knowing if they switched it back to CBMM.
I have a great job, I’m physically fit, I own my home, I get laid regularly. Not interested in pointers from pro players or keyboard commandos. Just want to know if they switched it back?

I'm 40 married with 3 children, a full-time job, a mortgage, and a wife that complains about time spent together, LMAO. I'm still still decent enough to hold a 1.4 kd and dominant most quick play lobbies. If you truly want to improve, just practice or don't complain about being outplayed. Cbmm truly makes me realize that the work I put in allows me to outplay others who have not committed the same amount of effort. With that being said, trials and competitive humbles me, and I appreciate that side of the coin as well. There's always someone better. If you want sbmm competitive is a place that promotes that environment. Please allow a place were people can fool around with random load outs, and still have fun without using the meta to compete.

I probably wouldn't be interested in pointers from pro players or keyboard commandos either if I was just paying them to earn my rewards for me.

2 RepliesNo it’s still sbmm. This is just what happens when sbmm kills the player population. Same thing happened back in shadowkeep. That’s why they reverted it back then.

It is a “loser” sbmm… Of which means yes to sbmm in the first 30 seconds of the game match making, after that… it is anything

1 ReplyCbmm can't work because low player count sbmm can't work because low player count, destiny overall player count is doing death gurgles, and no an all black memento won't bring people back and no end of season isn't the reason, player count has been low since week two of dlc drop, if overall count is lower it means pvp is to low to function correctly same for trials, yesterdays total trials count was barely higher than gambit, which is saying something, like dead game mode

I don't know, I have been in matches lately where it feels like I was a little leaguer playing against the Yankees , ie how EDZ dregs feel when a new exotic comes out

I've noticed they are breaking up the players into tiers (Control). I've been looking at Crucible ranks prior to matches. The top four players in the lobby are divided into the two teams. Then, in the middle tier, they divide the mediocres. Poor players make up the bottom slots. So, three "tiers" per team (2 good players, 2 mid, 2 scrubs/newbs per team). That's been my observation.

3 RepliesIts still sbmm, but the matchmaking gets messed up when you hire a pro to play trials on your account. The game thinks youre a lot better than you actually are and balances accordingly. Moral of the story: dont buy recovs.

I believe they were going from 6 brackets down to 3 larger ones. Effectively, that would make the matchmaking as close to a pure CBMM as it can be without actually eliminating the “skill” component. The last match of control I played was quite ridiculous and featured people that joined halfway through and ended up with 28 and 20 k/ds. No I didn't forget the decimal point.

5 RepliesIt's a weird algorithm they have. Some days you'll be popping off, some days it'll feel like every match is stacked against you. I found that switching characters will some how clear the algorithm, just my opinion

No. But SBMM doesn't exist as much as before. They loosened it a lot so that it basically just tries to match whoever it can find.
