Lilith and Savathun deserved better, why are female villains killed without question?

First of all I know Savvy is coming back, I am a Diablo noob so I don't know if Lilith can or not, my point is there original conclusions But it's strange how Bungie writers and Blizzard writers came to the same conclusion, that they must be killed by the player, there is no possibility they are right In Witch Queen we used powers while knowing they came from our ultimate enemy , The Witness, The Entity that sought the death of our benefactor , to pursue and kill a former very powerful and dangerous enemy, who decided we were right , and we even got shown the story of how she was tricked into becoming a monster, but there was no talking her down , there was no attempt at understand, or de Escalation. It was just kill her, even though that's exactly what our enemies wanted And spoilers for Diablo 4 , but we spend the game being aided by Liliths father, who is a prime evil (not that kind of Prime Evil) , because he was afraid of Lilith, the mother of sanctuary and of humanity , because she wanted to save her children from the war to come, nah she did some bad things, and we are perfect, even though we just kill for power also. Again I an new in this world, so there might be some things I am missing , but we logically should have sided with Lilith in the end, I felt empty after she was gone 2 believable and charismatic female leaders , dead without question, they deserved better and we deserved better writing

 • I think once you get to the point of having a hand in the fall of humanity, partook multi universal genocide, and nearly imprisoned the one thing giving you your abilities,(Savathun) is probably going to put you on the kill without questions list. I dunno about Lilith though since I'm not big on Diablo, but imma guess a demon has done some things.

 • You need to look back into Diablo lore. That story is WAAY more complicated than that. As for being killed without question: Prince Uldren, Cayde-6, Oryx, dozens of Fallen Leaders, Calus, Ghaul and a crap ton of other villains in the Destiny Universe would like a word with you.

 • Male villains aren’t killed without question… we very specifically ask questions before killing them. “Where’s my money Brian!?” Being a popular one.

 • It's not a female villian thing, it's just a villian thing. Ardyn & Emet Selch (Final Fantasy), Constantine (Greedfall), Yorinobu (Cyberpunk), Zoltun (Diablo III), were all "good" or working towards some greater good and "had" to be put down. Also, Lilith is NOT working in humanity's interest. When she and Inarius created Sanctuary it was to escape the war between Heaven and Hell. When the nephlim were born (the offspring of angels and demons) Lilith wanted to use them as an army to destroy heaven and hell. Inarius realized this and sealed her away while fearing the nephlim's power so he weakened them over time until they became mortal and devolved into humanity. He (maybe) could have destroyed us, but didn't because we were still his children. Where Inarius wanted "peace" by hiding away from the fighting in Sanctuary, Lilith wanted "peace" by being a tyrant over all. To Lilith, humanity is merely a means to an end, fodder for her war against heaven and hell. It's also implied that this was her plan all along and while Inarius had truely loved her, she had merely seduced him to trick him into helping her create the nephlim. The bad writing isn't Lilith, it's the hackneyed soft-retcon they did with Inarius.
