One thing that bugs me about Lightfall story
It was clear Calus was blocking our light powers so instead of screwing around with Strand why didn't anyone go "Hey, we could just use stasis". I know strand is the seller but it was like stasis didn't even exist. Ngl, kinda bugged me a bit lol.

No, it said that it blocked out our KNOWN powers, which includes stasis

I don't know how is translated in English, but in the Italian version the suppressors things used in the Campaign are said to [i]"block out powers"[/i], like in a more generic way. I suppose that includes Stasis too. Probably Strand worked because it was "something new", like a kind of frequency power that the Suppressor wasn't built to block.

2 RepliesLike people have said, Calus probably was prepared for Stasis. The Witness practically gave Stasis to Eramis so would only make sense for them to be aware of it. However, the bigger issue is how did Calus's forces have Strand shields. That's really the part that made no sense to me...

2 RepliesI think it was for the sake of plot convenience that they blocked stasis powers. It doesn't really make sense but since stasis isn't free for everyone they couldn't build a story around it I assume.

If Calus didn’t account for stasis he was sleeping under a rock for those 2 years, also he was working with Eramis too so there’s that aswell, he would have asked about it. Edit: Plus the psions did miniaturise the light blocking technology some loyal to calus would have given him the blueprint and enhanced it to cover stasis too.

I think we were banking on the element of suprise. It was blocking all our known abilities. They knew we had stasis.
