What’s gonna happen if you neglect destiny just for your 2025 IP to fail?
Are you guys even considering the repercussions of that? You’re sacrificing let’s say 75% of your resources towards non destiny related content. While 100% of your current revenue comes from people interested in destiny. If your new IP were to fail, and didn’t bring the people from destiny over. You’d be looking at a scenario where you left millions of dollars in the cosmodrome.

D2 only came about after they left Halo, which was originally seen as the FPS to beat on consoles. New franchises need to be developed eventually as stories tend to wear out their welcome among fans over time. If their new franchise fails I'm sure a few people will lose their jobs and then Bungie will start work on another franchise. D1 didn't start off that strong (the content pool was a mile wide, but an inch deep), but grew into where the franchise is now, so I'm reasonably confident that whatever Bungie makes will have enough staying power with gamers to at least allow them to recoup any losses while they at least try to improve it to a passable state.
