Very fast invisible dodges

Getting 2 almost 3 invisible dodges should not happen before I get my 2nd barricade and I’m at 100 res. Edit: I do have kick starter and maybe there was trappers ambush thrown in. I’m not a hunter main so I don’t know exactly what she was doing. All I know is she was invis super fast while my one ability is still charging. My point still is the invisibility. I have 1 way for an over-shield and a wall between you and me. I only get 1 barricade. The person who is going to win the gunfight is the person who gets the first shot usually. With 3 ways to go invisible since omnis are a thing, invis will 9 out of 10 times give you the edge in a gunfight. My best defense is to put up ice grenades at every corner and with so many dodges, I run out of nades before you run out of invis. More hunters are going back to void then warlocks and titans. There’s a reason for this. Hunters void has 3 ways with omnis to go invis back to back to back and by the time they run out, they are already chaining recharged abilities on top of each other. My goodness you can go invis even more then I realized. Which is just going to make me play as far away from you as possible. Slowing the game down even more. Which I absolutely hate

  • IMO invisibility inside PvP is a no go in a game like this, where most gunfights are won by being the one who shoots first. Too many times even with the nerf to invis on the radar, I am still having problems seeing the hunter who starts shooting me and most of the time the hunter is 2 shots ahead of me, when I start shooting back, couple that with the ability to get invis back faster than a Titan can skate from point A to B, makes it a bit tough to go up against. Granted, its worse the more skilled the hunter is, because they build loadouts and abilities to be able to Invis faster. The problem for me is, that there is no counter to it for a Titan, I do not know if Warlocks have a counter for it or a way of getting the hell out of dodge when an invis player opens fire :-) /Storm

    • My two cents for whatever it’s worth. Invisible Hunter: Marksman’s Dodge- base cooldown: 29 seconds Gambler’s Dodge- base cooldown: 38 seconds My Hunter on Void 3.0 has 106 mobility- so that is 40% speed increase. (This is without any exotic armor) Void Sentinel/Titan: Towering Barricade- base cooldown: 40 seconds Rally Barricade- base cooldown: 32 seconds With no exotic armor I can get to 93 Resilience- 32% damage reduction and faster barricade. If I wear Heart of Inmost Light- it gets to 101 and 40%. Doing a speed test in game with 100 mobility in hunter and 100 resilience as a titan. Dodges- can use again in 11.86 and 15.32 seconds. Marksman’s and Gambler’s Dodge. The two tests had me invisible for 4.96 and 4.14 seconds- obviously this might be a little off depending on when I hit stop on timer. So you are invisible for under 5 seconds, and if you start to shoot you become visible sooner. Barricade- Rally Barricade took 13.12 seconds to recharge (lasting- 20.20 seconds while taking no damage). Towering Barricade took 16.93 seconds to recharge. (Lasting- 19.48 seconds while taking no damage). IMO then if just comparing the two class abilities, they are fairly well balanced. Depending on armor and mods you build with, class abilities can recharge faster, or be stronger in the case of barricade.

      • A common exotic to run for void "invisible on dodge" is 6th coyote, which gives you an extra dodge charge, most also run 100 mobility, but it's the easiest explanation why they were able to dodge so much. A titan exotic that gives 2 barricade charges dosent seem nearly as exciting (w.o things like current seasonal mod)

Which I absolutely hate[/quote] Lmao than play hunter😂 if ur losing to invis Hunter with all the cheesy titan abilities over shields sunspots barricades than ur doing something wrong. Invis is super easy to spot not only that u can hear it across the map.

        • You clearly don’t know a lot Omni doesn’t give an extra invis charge Trapper ambush does Sure Omni gives 15% resistance while invis Barricades are free revives in trials Barricades can drop sunspots Barricades can give overshields Imagine if they could pop every ten seconds No thanks

            Utility Kickstart is a thing. Running 2 of them is definitely a thing. In PvP, those 3 or so seconds it saves are crucial so don’t be surprised if you see them equipped fairly often. In case you’re interested, it’s a Stasis class item mod.

          • the real issue is that invis is very difficult to spot. some maps its better, some worse. in D1 it was way more visible. the real advantage of invis in pvp should be to disapear from the radar. not to be often almost impossible to see. my 5 cents to this topic.

            • Unless they’re using radiant dance machines (which suck) or sixth coyote there’s no way they’re getting their class ability that quickly. Why? Because the barricade and dodge have the same cooldowns.
