That what's linked. I also read through a good amount of other posts on that page and didn't see any thing about them not nerfing edger edge.

That link isn't a dev saying "we won't nerf eager edge" he's just saying he was cheering a friend on as he skated. It's not the same thing lmao.

You don’t expect it to be perfect when it ships. You experiment. You give it your best shot and see where it lands, and then you adjust accordingly. Sure, they may have known you could use it as a form of skating, but they may not have anticipated just how effective it could be for said skating in the right hands, nor how determined players would be to use it for cheesing.

I think they’re nerfing it for the worlds first raid race. They could have disabled the two swords but it was obvious it was going to get a nerf, it’s not as drastic as Worldline and you could still use it for travelling.
