Hi there!
At the launch of Cross Play, the Bungie Name system was implemented. When players first log in on any platform, their platform name becomes their Bungie Name.
If the name violates the Code of Conduct or contains invalid character, such as emojis or other special characters, their name is rejected automatically and replaced with a Guardian name.
Bungie Name changes are currently not available and will be available at a later announced date. Please continue to monitor the weekly blog posts for updates.

It creates a problem because no one i played with recognizes me now. It’s frustrating. Is there a support person that can change it for me?

My name has been emt 969 since 2014 on bungie.net. Same as xbox account. I dont really understand

As I stated previously, the system is automated, so there’s no real way to determine what triggered the rejection. You will not be able to change your name until the name change system is released.
