Ok so bungee has been doing a lot of nerfs to abilities and weapons that are meta in pvp. An example of this would be how they have nerfed the hunter dodge twice recently. There are other examples of this but this is the one that has pretty much destroyed my Pve build. In pve I use frostees and invisibility with utility kickstart to have my dodge cooldown almost completely back when my invis runs out. The increase to dodge cooldown meant for pvp makes it so that my invis build takes too long to recharge. I don’t even play that much pvp but I really think their should be different cooldowns for pvp and pve or something like that because the only reason I played and enjoyed hunter was because I had fun being able to run and dodge right away and go invisible.

The fact that you need to crutch on invisibility in pve though XD no matter what hunters will without a doubt absolutely cry about any and everything lmfao
-
What if I told you the hunter dodge nerf was targeted at both pve and pvp

16 RepliesEdited by CrimsonStarDrago: 1/10/2022 7:51:44 PMPVP is one of the main reasons the game gets ruined anyways. Mass majority of nerfs to guns/abilities are because of PVP. So thx. You PVP mains can say all you want to me, but you all know it's true. You screwed over super recharge rates, orb spawns, movement speeds, exotics becoming crap or unusable (mechaneers tricksleeves). I can keep going.

2 RepliesThey just need to separate the sand boxes Easy
but they won’t for some reason!
being honest it is time people accepted that these nerfs aren't targeted at ruining fun in pvp only, they're designed to ruin fun in pve too. Bungie had opportunities to have fun enjoyable gameplay and have consistently deliberately chosen to subvert it in favor of ever ramping difficulty because well, honestly, that's what the most vocal minority of their players claim they want. Challenge is necessary for engaging gameplay but it is a difficult and delicate balance to make sure you don't lean too far towards one side, you don't want to feel like god mode is active, but if you lean too fare on challenge it ruins the power fantasy. Bungie has decided to not try to walk that tightrope, and chose instead to deliberately ruin the power fantasy in favor of giving a small number of players what makes them happy. Rather you agree with it or not, people need to accept and acknowledge that these nerfs are not "accidental consequences of pvp balance". They are deliberate subversions of player enjoyment in the name of driving difficulty over fun. in my opinion this has harmed them financially but it's their money to throw in the toilet.

15 RepliesTotally agree that both sandboxes should be completely separated.

1 ReplyDevs: hunter dodge needs nerf Every hunter exotic: OUCH! stompees: you guys feel anything?
-
Pve is easy tho
-
agree, my PvE hunter build feels awful now. I used to run 100 mobility on thousand knives guy with deft tumble to charge my sweet throwing knives a lot for a fun melee build tied in with thermoclastoc strike for overload melts ... not any more because of extended cooldowns in PvE.
-
5 RepliesSuper regen feels so bad in pve. What took 4 minutes and 45 seconds is now taking over 8 minutes. My grenades don't come back fast enough unless I use well mods and/or spec into 100 discipline. It's a mess.
-
20 RepliesWe can thanks that one developer who thought having the same sandbox for pvp and pve was a good idea... What a stupid idea.
-
The nerf to gamblers dodge timing has was meant to hurt PvE too. I disagree with it personally, but Bungie did specifically say that gamblers was circumventing melee cooldowns and needed adjusting.

1 ReplyDude use bottom tree and with 100 strength you literally have a smoke to make you invisible before you even become visible again. Please stop complaining when you don't know what you're talking about. https://youtu.be/mDETL9vRmf4

Honestly dude dont waste your time this topic is soo old now bungie should never of shared the sandbox between pvp and pve to begin with in destiny and to carry on with it in destiny 2 was just dumb it was always doomed to fail its an impossible pendulum swing yhh i know they are trying but the sandbox is still shared by default soo it just doesn't work somthing will always suffer pve does not require the same balance that pvp needs

9 Repliesyou bots are so delusional. They dont nerf stuff to destroy the fun of the game. Its for balancing and probably preparation for Void 2.0 and other super reworks. Is it so hard for you guys to use your brain and stop crying like babies? Also the game becomes easier and easier with all the new builds coming out. So they need to keep it at least a little bit challenging.
-
4 RepliesSeems pretty op to me, you shouldn’t be able to basically stay invisible to me
-
1 ReplyI have zero sympathy for people who abuse an easy mechanic than cry once it gets nerfed. I doubt your being honest but if you only played the game to abuse one mechanic bungie just did you a favor. Soling dungeons showed me how much more effective hunters are not crunching on invis both in and out of solo play. I hear mindcraft is a fun game maybe it would be an easier fit for you?

25 RepliesEdited by WhiskeyHotel: 1/11/2022 7:59:33 AMImagine having to stay invisible 100% of the time to play one of the easier shooters out there 😆
-
You can be invisible all the time if you spec into it with graviton forfeit. 100 mobility and strength.
-
Switch to invis smoke bombs, you can have 100% invisibility uptime.
-
So use graviton forfeit for 24/7 invis then.

1 ReplyWelcome to the same old same old of bungie didn’t fix the bleeding effect of there horrible hybrid game play none sense. They said they did near dlc 2 but anyone who knows bungie and played destiny 1 knows better.
-
13 RepliesAs a hunter main, Wtf you doing cloaking that much?
-
If you would like infinite Hunter invis in our new and exciting meta, put on Graviton Forfeit and max strength. Bungie rarely uses the word "nerf" (we do) they prefer "balance", which suggests shifting and moving, not breaking and eliminating. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDqUoC8VKjQ
-
What? I recently just saw a video of a streamer that made a build where he had infinite invisibility on pve. Have you actually bothered to experiment with builds? An extra 2 seconds in hunter dodge literally does nothing lol
