With every single competitive match I get into there are always clear winners in every round. And the one factor that stands out? They use handcannons. Seems very lopsided that in order to Git Gud at this game one must conform to a different play style than what they enjoy simply because two archetypes crap all over the rest of the primaries.
Hopefully Bungie will realize that they’ve been fostering this -blam!- culture for years now and will take steps to either reduce the effectiveness of 140s and 120s or buff the rest to compete.

1 ReplyI use hand cannons cause they’re easy. I do just fine with an smg or a scout too. I don’t think you have to use a hand cannon, they’re just the easiest to use in my opinion, so they are overused.

Honestly, a simple nerf to hand cannon aim assist alongside more varied maps would result in a lot less hand cannon usage.
-
Bungie has always had a perverse obsession with Handcannons. I wouldn't hold your breath on the subject.
-
You don't have to.
-
No you don’t. Stop making up excuses for you being bad at the game.

Let’s just be honest here. Bungie isn’t really capable of balancing any sandbox at any time. They keep it simple stupid. They always have

3 RepliesNo one ever said you had to learn to use HC's. The reason why it's a common factor is because good players like to use what works - and realistically, anything that works is worth using again. But good players can also use whatever weapon and be just as successful. So, since you can't control what weapons other players use, what you SHOULD learn to do is how to counter HC users. There are strategies to utilize against all weapons, HC's especially. BTW, HC's were nerf'd to the ground thanks to people complaining about them. TTK was much better prior to Shadowkeep

5 RepliesHaven’t talked to you in a bit. How have you been Mr. Goblin? As for your post… I find Sweet Business takes care of any issues I have in PvP 😎

It's always been the meta Guardian, in one archetype or another. It's also been noted across time and within the community, some HC users create uproar when "nerfs" happen. I go against the grain just to see how many HC users I can get, and shotgun users as well. That used to be my fun, but the lag and lop-sided balancing coupled with stacks spawn trapping have made me step back for a while. Truth is, the HC is the easiest* (it still requires practice!) and most forgiving weapon. The FOV is massive, the damage is high, and the range within the maps at hand makes them most feasible. Hopefully, Bungie will in the near future do something about this as well.

i would love to see any HC in the opponent team. All what i see is DMT.

2 RepliesDid you try using a hand cannon yourself?

3 RepliesTo be fair they don’t take much learning

4 Repliespulse rifles, smgs, even autos can compete with hand cannons

1 ReplyUse what works for you. We are all different with different play styles so use what works for you not for someone else.
