No but they are trying to save the playlist by getting more people playing it. If more people could get flawless then more would play.
And that's why they compromised and split the weekend in half. Do you know how ridiculous it sounds asking for the flawless pool to be active the whole weekend when you have been already given half of it for not being able to compete in the regular playlist?

  • About as ridiculous as complaining about the flawless pool because it makes farming adepts to hard.

  • I'm not the one asking for special treatment, you and op are. You want to be put into a seperate player pool while getting the same rewards and you want it active all weekend no less. Bungie gives a hand and you take the whole arm.

  • Its any different when you wait for the easiest GM to get adepts? Why should you get the same adepts i am getting by just farming lake of shadows instead of farming proving grounds?

  • That's a terrible comparison. Firstly, lake of shadows is the same difficulty for everyone. Once I complete it, it doesn't put me in the harder "flawless" pool. It's akin to getting a favorite high populated map in trials where flawless becomes easier for everyone, like the first week in burnout. The system we have now is akin to having gms on regular difficulty for half of the week, and once completed, the difficulty goes up substantially. For those that weren't able to complete it, they revert to master nightfalls until completion.

I am comparing lake of shadows to proving grounds and corrupted i am not dumb, i got my pally on proving grounds, why should other people wait for lake of shadows to be around and get it easily? You see how dumb this "flawless pool is jus a handout" is? Also to some degree i am right, proving grounds and corrupted is way harder, no reason to drop the same weapons for everyone on easier GMs, and the "it doens't get easier for people who cant complete" argument doens't work here, people just wait for an easier GM and farm it there

I would be more than ok with having the flawless pool start right away once in six weeks and the other five weeks we remove it all together. Thank you can farm every 6 weeks 👍

  • I didn't. Ops suggestion makes trials far harder to grind for anyone that has achieved 1 flawless for that week because it divides the player pool. Not comparable at all.

  • Starters I’m not asking to be put in a separate player pool and no, your not asking for special treatment now. But that’s because you lot have already cried oceans over the flawless pool and got Bungie to activate it later. So let’s not act like we’re the ones asking to much because you lot are just as guilty.

  • We can have seperate player pools as long as we have seperate rewards. What you are asking is the pve equivalent of getting adept loot from heroic strikes. You need to play gms to get adept loot or master vog to get timelost weapons. The ai difficulty doesn't decrease because you can't beat atheon nor does it further increase if you clear it once. You guys are asking to get nba rewards while playing college basketball. I could go on and on but you should get the point.

  • Lol Bungie are waisting their time trying to save the playlist. Just remember when it gets axed you lot brought it on yourselves.

  • No, Bungie have found a fairly good balance splitting it 50/50. A that is needed is more seasonal loot and trials will be fine.

  • Lol, it’s fine from your point of view but it hasn’t even been a season yet. Wait till players get sick of being sandbags and those 2 nights of flawless pool doesn’t cut it. Bungie will have to step in again to save Trials.

  • Well, there's no difference from playing in the flawless pool to playing last season so those that don't want to play can leave. The double standards for pvp are ridiculous. There's no system in pve that rewards you for being mediocre. Bungie introduced one for trials but apparently it's not enough for some.

  •
Well, there's no difference from playing in the flawless pool to playing last season so those that don't want to play can leave.
Lol so everyone Bungie has got into Trials can just leave because you say so. What do you think will happen when the player numbers drop off again. Do you think Bungie will dedicate another season to try and fix Trials. No they won’t it will get axed like Trials of the Nine.

  • Trials is an endgame activity and is now far more popular than its pve equivalents. People that engage with raids and master raids are under 10% and we've had these since 2014. Aspirational activities are somewhat difficult and therefore not many people will complete them. Making them easier/more accessible defeats the purpose behind them and dilutes the accomplishment and gear received. Bungie can very well maintain a decent level of population in trials by introducing new gear seasonally and by keeping with this 2 day split they have been doing. To make this effective, they have to introduce something to make the flawless pool appealing as well. At the end of the day, once people get what they want they will leave. For instance, I stop doing raids one I get what I want from them.

  • Trials of the Nine was end game too remember, that didn’t save it back in its day. Also look back at how often they’ve updated the Trials loot. You think they’re suddenly going to start bringing new loot out seasonly.

  • That's up to them. They probably have some cost benefit analysis to determine this. Introducing new items is the only way to keep a steady population. Many players will drop the playlist if there's no other loot to chase and many pvpers will avoid the flawless pool if there's no additional incentives. People just want something. They'll even chase emblems. It's very basic.
