I earned my Merciless back in 2017 from a public event engram. Now anyone with shards can buy it what the !blam! is that???

4 RepliesI earned my NF, Luna’s, Revoker, Mt, recluse, anarchy, tarrabah…and now they’re essentially giving them away by paying tokens that you get in two of the easiest raids I’ve ever played. The biggest insult, however, is that they just gave away the toast emote which was a PITA to get, and now you have a bunch of undeserving players who ran just the first encounter who got it free before it sunset

Despite your frustrations this is a very very smart decision by Bungie, not all players can ram through solo legendary lost sectors, and not many folks have clans to run events with. This helps support solo players who love the game, like myself, who are willing to pay for what Bungie offers but don't have the time to push for extreme or hardcore content. Many adults only get 1-2 hours of actual recreation in a day, (my job is at least 11 hours a day 5 days a week) when you look at people with families, and working on graduate degrees.. I am not saying you aren't doing this or trying to make fun of you, I am saying this is the business decision game companies had to make. Do they abandon all their fans who grew up got families, started medical school and demanding careers, or do they allow them to still get a piece of the pie and enjoy the game. Basically game companies as a whole have decided that opening up their audience is a smarter business model than only catering to gamings elite.
