Bungie is pretty good at tracking these sorts of things.
But I think its different in different areas.
I live in the Eastern US. The lag was horrible the first couple of weeks. Especially when PS5 was playing against Xbox users. But its been pretty good over here since the last Iron Banner.

You would think it would be an issue for other games reliant on internet connection But the only game I’ve ever had any semblance of an issue with is Destiny 2

That's what I assumed. You guys in the UK seem to have to rely on connections to other parts of the world, so you seem to be the Canaries in the Coalmine where connection issues are concerned.
