Trials Matchmaking in a Nutshell
There is no matchmaking. Just look at this.

IMO the flawless chest will be removed.

Honestly I think they should remove card-base matchmaking. It creates more problems than it can solve. We could replace it with either skill or connection where either one will be fine as well as removing the flawless pool

People hate SBMM because they don’t like sweating every game, but damn… SBMM affects the gaming experience of lower skill players just as much as a high skill players. When SBMM find a perfect balance of skill and sets the match up, all players have to work just as hard whether it be a match a the bottom tier or at the very top. Stat padding -blam!- reseting after 6 wins so they can keep having easy games.

as you can see, none of them went flawless yet, therefore, you can still match them since you’re in the same pool. they were farming stats & elo. which is incredibly lame & cheesy.

I mean obviously theres no real SBMM, thats no secret. The issue to me is that 3-stacks get prioritized to face solos. Thats a scummy and rigged system. They need to prioritize solos vs solos, then duo + solo vs duo + solo and stacks vs stacks. After like 2 minutes of finding no matchup, just expand the search to the higher tier. HOW is that so hard to get behind is beyond me. Bungie just wants to give free wins to streamers and stacks who live and breath this games pvp.

2 RepliesIf I can be fully honest what the hell is the obsession people have with trials? It's a complete -blam!- mode, everything about it is terrible. Yeah I play it from time to time but I see my friends beat their head in not enjoying themselves. Me personally if I'm not enjoying a mode/game I won't play it. Nothing else to it. Trials will always be and feel bad for the less skilled. The card MM system is simply not working and never has, yet it's still here.

3 RepliesThis is why SBMM combined with card wins should be a thing. That is just ridiculous. I’m not sure what bungie could do about people who elo farm as well, but if bungie only matched you against people within 500 elo of you either direction, no one would deal with teams that toxic.

32 RepliesLooking at those stats just tells me you’d be here complaining about a stomp if they were 1.3’s. Instead of stat checking especially when you’re that below average, just go into each match, try your hardest to work with your teammates and treat the hard losses as a checklist of where you went wrong. Being a below average player means you’ll lose…. A lot, who does the stomping doesn’t make much of a difference

2 RepliesThe way they match people up regularly I assume they stack the deck for top rated players. I rarely hear about people matching each other on similar skill levels regardless of skill level. Some assume its to manufacture a 50% win ratio some how, but I cant follow that math even.

There is matchmaking... it's just not competitive matchmaking. Trials is about the top % padding stats off the lower %. Once you understand that's all trials matchmaking is you'll accept that this is way the gamemode will always be.

Honestly got matched back to back with the same exact team and it pissed me off. You should never go against the same team back to back ever.
