I have done vog 28 times and I still have not gotten vex, improve drop rates??

I'm on #49 with no vex. I just play other games now instead of dealing with this bull. Lots of things besides this remind me why I quit playing a few years ago. Had some fun in 3 months of playing again but think I'm finally done for good this time.

1 ReplyI agree it's bad, what I'm about to post isn't about that. It's not a reward, a reward by definition is something given in recognition of one's service, effort, or achievement. Something at the end of a quest is a reward. It's gambling. It's wagering something of value (your time) with the intent to win something of value. The correct term for what you get from gambling is winnings, not earnings. You're not earning your Vex, you're winning it. Sorry, I'm just tired of this flawed concept of earning things through RNG.

Took me 88 for Anarchy (over 7 months of trying). You'll get it one day, but the system is definitely broken and unfair

I feel as if in every crucible match there’s at least 2 guardians that have a vex.

So after the 25th run... you only have a 50-50 chance of getting it. If this is true, or close to the truth, assuming a true random distribution, via a strong random number generator approximation implementation... which should be the case given a modern OS, API, from Microsoft... there are always outliers that get the drop very soon, as those that never get the drop in any reasonable time frame. Some get it immediately, and some may, if very unlucky may never get it. This is why GH in D1 some never got until GH was finally available via Xur for the 2nd time in D1. Just how randomized loot works, unfortunately. In D1, I got VM on my 1st VoG completion, and I got GH on my 2nd run of Crota. So in D1, was very lucky. But in D2... I have been very unlucky getting VM so far. As for D2 GH... I suspect it will be useless since any one can purchase it with WQ DLC. Or so is my expectation... if GH happens to actually be fun to use? So much the better, right?

Yesterday morning, a clan member of mine just hits me up and says, "Hey, can you help us kill Atheon real quick?". Mind you, I had just gotten off work and got on just to mess some pvp ideas on my warlock.... I get in on the checkpoint, we kill him then boom... Vex Mythoclast drops on COMPLETION NUMBER 1. I yelled, "NAH!!! NAAAHHH!!! NO F--KING WAY!!!" Im literally backing away from my TV in horror... BIG PANIK.... Guy in LFG group my clanmate is playing with goes, "You got it?" I put it on and start shooting it. He goes, "Congrats mate!" I go, "Guys I am so sorry. This isn't for me surely. I never intended to get this. I just wanted to help you guys. THIS WAS MY 1ST CLEAR EVER." One guy leaves the party instantly then leaves fire team... HARD WAVE OF SILENCE... English guy goes, "No worries mate. Enjoy it. Sometimes things come when you least expect it. Thanks for the help." More leaves party after long hard silence. Long story short, I think Its pure RNG luck. No BS, and I don't believe this stuff but, I read a fortune cookie the night before that said I was in for some luck tomorrow and boy did that deliver. If I could give my vex away, I would.... Crazy, me and my boy went into comp right after and say to him, "I wonder if I can get the Mida Catalyst here." I put on Mida and got the catalyst ON GAME 1 at 2100+.... Im screaming "WTF IS GOING ON TODAY DUDE??? HOLY SH--!!!" Went to work and caught an error in paper work from sunday before anyone saw it... MASSIVE F--KING SAVE LAST NIGHT BOIS!!!!!!!!! You have no idea...... Moral of the story: Go open some fortune cookies today. 🙏

Looking back at d1 when it took me a year and half to get the full titan armor set from vog… wondering if only I complained on the forums for them 🤔 And I did run three titans a week trying to complete the set to reach max power for the launch of crota and nope.. no luck.

The raid exotic should only be obtainable from completing the flawless raid triumph with every fireteam member completing the entire raid flawlessly. I expect this post will be downvoted by the “make the game easier for me!” part of this community.
